any updates about Chase? We would have defeated LA in regular time if Chase played. He always gives us more cuts, more fast breaks, some rebounds, more engergy, AND 3 points. I am missing this ROOKIE already.
Budinger hobbled Rockets forward Chase Budinger, out with a sprained left ankle, predicted he will be ready to play tonight against Oklahoma City. Coach Rick Adelman guessed he won't. Budinger missed Wednesday's game against the Lakers and was held out of practice Thursday but participated in shooting drills. “I felt great at shootaround today,” Budinger said. “Hopefully, I'll keep getting better tomorrow and be ready to play. It was tough (to sit out), especially playing against the Lakers. I wanted to be out there. The last time I missed a game was in high school.” Adelman was not so sure. “I actually don't expect him to play tomorrow after watching him today,” Adelman said. “But he's young (21), so maybe that makes a difference.” Guard Trevor Ariza left practice with flu-like symptoms. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6706301.html
so if budinger played tonight and ariza was out then.. that means budinger would be starter?! that would be interesting to see
Chase will play, IMO...Ariza will too so Rockets should be at full strength. I actually want to see JT play some just to get his feet wet a bit, especially if Chase doesn't play.
If both Budinger and Ariza are out, inserting Landry into the starting line-up at the 3 (or maybe Lowry, at the 2, moving Battier to the 3), then our top 3 bench contributors will be: - Kyle Lowry or Carl Landry (depending on who doesn't start) - David Andersen - ???? (Pops? Taylor? Dorsey? Cook?)
Chase is playing tonight according to Jason F.'s Twitter...Cant post link so someone please validate.
you're crazy. ariza had one bad game because he forced the issue. if he keeps playing like that, then yes, we need to bench him. but it was against his former team. he probably wanted to show what they were missing (and he failed miserably). but im sure coaches talked to him about knowing his limitations. when ariza just does what he is good at, he's a great contributor.
That wind you just felt? Yeah, that was me breathing a huge sigh of relief. Without Budinger and Ariza, our bench depth would be about 1 person.
Ariza out with Flue like symptoms? See I don't understand how the League allows players to play with the Flu? If it is true he most likely got it from Kobe who had the Flu.
