    Wife Of Houston Rocket Carjacked

The wife of a Houston Rockets player was carjacked at gunpoint Sunday night, after she
returned home from shopping and going to the movies, according to police.

Officers said that around 10 p.m., two men in a car followed April Williams, 31, who drove a Cadillac Escalade, home to 1834 Shoreline and Clearwater.

Williams is the wife of Houston Rocket guard and forward Walt Williams, also known as "The Wizard." The couple has one son, Ty, who was not with his mother during the carjacking.

As Williams pulled into her driveway, the suspects approached her and demanded her purse and keys, officers said. She complied.

"One was clearly armed with a handgun. Her vehicle was stolen from her and the suspects fled the scene in the victim's vehicle," said Lt. Larry Capps with the Missouri City Police Department.

The suspects tried to make a quick getaway, but were chased into Houston by police,
    officials said.

"Very subsequently, (they) wrecked, hitting a house, and hitting one of our marked patrol
    units," said Capps.

One of the suspects was arrested near the scene. Canine officers found him hiding in a
garage, authorities said. He was identified as David Lowe, 18, according to police. A
handgun was found inside the stolen vehicle.

The other suspect escaped on foot. Williams was not injured, but was shaken up,
    according to her husband.

Officers said that the holiday season can be a busy one for crooks.

"The crooks are out shopping and unfortunately they don't go to the malls," Capps said.

That sucks so much. That is good news that she was safe and their son wasn't there. The same thing happened to Elie a few years back. The suspects I think were caught as well.

I can't fathom a reason why this would matter.

They hit a HOUSE? Maybe they can give Walt some lessons, because he hasn't hit the broadside of a barn lately.

btw: it turns out it was Walt's daughter. The wife is the one who was recorded reporting it to 911. Anyone else catch the recording on Fox News.
