There’s gotta be a scenario where we trade Anderson for a high risk high reward player that might, y’know, actually play? Call me crazy but trading for Josh Jackson at this absolute low should be a no brainer even with the baggage. We need tall lengthy defenders and Jackson can be that guy. He should be able to give you 10-12 minutes a night of 2nd unit defense. He doesn’t need to even shoot.
Morey stays collecting scrubs Mike stays with 7-man rotation To be fair to Mike, he did play 9 last night. What is even the point of Nene, Anderson, Clark & Hartenstein? Nene's been washed but they brought him back. Anderson's been trash but they brought him back. And the coach is never going to play Clark & Hartenstein. In the words of LerBon, we top-heavy as shi_t Westbrook - Rivers - Clemons(2-way) Harden - McLemore - Frazier(2-way) - Green(inj.) House - Gordon Tucker - Sefolosha - Clark Capela - Chandler - Anderson - Hartenstein - Nene(inj.)
Because he sucks - so many better options out there starting with Bennet in the G league when healthy. DD
Funny how we were talking about Ryan Anderson being overpaid on his last contract. Seems to hold true at $1,600,000 or whatever it is he makes (I'd take it, but hey, I'm 51 and 6'2"; Dan Tony would play me over Ryno).
His frame works against him on the defensive end. I think if the Rockets get things sorted out and start clicking we might see him. I hope so.
He has a signing restriction and can't be traded until Dec 26. His contract will be fully guaranteed on Jan 10. That's the window he'll be moved in because I highly doubt he makes it past the guarantee date. Nene is in a similar boat with a tight trade window. His signing restriction expires on Jan 15, so he won't be packaged with RA in a trade who should be cut by then. His signing restriction is longer, even though he signed weeks earlier, because of the raise he got that back fired. But he also has to be traded or released by Feb 15 or his contract becomes guaranteed for NEXT season. Highly doubt Tilman lets that happen. At the same time, you can't actually play the guy or he'll meet his incentives..
Ryno probably could have played. The Clippers started taking out PJ's corner three and let him be open out for wing threes. He doesn't shoot those well. Ryno does.
I think they will try out ryno in their last game versus the clips...this was a must-win game and they wanted to see how capella and Tyson held up against their centers...once we get that #1 seed and have a cushion I believe that mike will give ryno some burn against zubac and Harrell. We need to see if he can guard them....
