Or doing anything else as a Rocket? Apparently everyone gets a tribute video except for Kyle. https://mobile.twitter.com/clutchfans/status/273607537021038592
So who's gotten tribute videos of late? Chuck Hayes and Shane Battier got it, but they were with the team for 5 seasons and were team captains for multiple years. Did Rafer get one? Luis Scola will definitely get one. Dragic, unlikely. McGrady didn't get one, if I recall correctly. Lowry was with the team for 2 1/2 seasons. I think this is more to do with lack of longevity with the organization than any behind-the-scenes conflict. At least I hope so.
That doesn't take away what he did for the team, though. I guess the difference is that Landry was part of that 22-game win streak and also our lone playoff series win. Lowry's contributions occurred in the regular season where we weren't able to accomplish our expressed goal of making the playoffs.
So, by essentially quitting on his team & being a malcontent... That doesn't take away from what he did for the team? Waitwut? ... What exactly did Lowry "do for the team"? Other than what I mentioned above and not win....
I'm wondering if the recent McHale tragedy dissuaded them from doing a Lowry tribute tonight. I can't imagine any other reason why they wouldn't, since they've done it for other players.
Did you know that we haven't developed a player to near all-star level since Yao? Did you know Lowry was the closest thing to that?
Quit on the team? He was playing injured last year. He may have been a malcontent at times, but he played hard and competed.
To Kyle. Hear, hear! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AAN4_v37hW8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You think this is the reason he stunk it up out there? He looked hurt (emotionally) throughout the game...
I don't think he is fully healthy yet. I am going to watch him against Conley tomorrow to see how he plays.
