I just talked to a fan today who as soon as I mentioned Harden in the 3rd seed he said "if you switch Harden and Russ that Russ would do better yada yada" and how that Russ plays with a bunch of nobody's. That one always makes me laugh because those nobody's were one game away form the finals. Chuck for years said that when Durcant was on OKC they had the most talented roster and nobody said otherwise, you take Durcant off that team and now they are nobody's?!
And in that series against Golden State, OKC had 4 guys who averaged at least 30 mpg: Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, and Waiters. Of those 4 players, 3 are gone.
wow. The only reason Westbrook is in the conversation is because of his triple doubles. When you take away his rebounds which judging by the video… When you take away his rebounds he's not even in the conversation.
Let's be real outside of Houston fans, not many people like Harden. This is also backed by his Jersey sales, even though he's been a top 5 player in the league for at least 3-4 years now. Fans love Westbrook, especially since KD left. This video won't go viral. At this point, especially since it looks like Russ will beat the spurs, it's his MVP. Let's just focus on sweeping them in the first round, that'll feel pretty satisfying. Get Harden's wrist right and let's focus on the main prize.
