uh, well, the Mavs won 67 games and choked against Bryon Davis. The #2 in the league, the Suns, the Spurs did play, but injury and suspensions contributed to two crucial games You do remember Game 5 against the Suns, Amare was suspended for that game because in Game 4 he walked off the bench to check on Nash, when Horry started a freaking fight. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/slg4vl1SPrc?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/slg4vl1SPrc?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> And in Game 1, Nash was willing the Suns to victory with a profusely bleeding nose, that eventually forced him to sit the TIED final minute, because they couldn't get the bleeding to stop. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/rM0ndgMMVEA?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/rM0ndgMMVEA?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
15 straight seasons of 50 or more wins. 17 straight if you count the lockout year where only 50 games were played and they won 37. I doubt we'll see a run like this achieved again. It's not even just an amazing stat in the NBA, in all 4 major leagues, it's the best winning percentage in that 17 year period by one franchise.
I read a stat recently that said over the past decade, the Spurs have a 50% or + record against all opposing teams. Insane.
I love how ppl still don't get that the media isn't in the business of giving objective basketball analysis. All ESPN and others care about is views. So of course LA ad New York get all the attention.
they are the strongest team,1st contender for championship and duncans spurs are longest and the best dynasty after Celtics in 60s
The spurs are such a beautiful team to watch. Watching the spurs play basketball is so enjoyable because they do EVERYTHING the right way. It's basketball in its purest form.
What's with all this Spers loving on a Rockets board? Hope they get their ass kicked in the first round.
This is why I hate the Spurs, because their fans just suck. And it's not just actual Spurs fans. It's like everyone has a little Spurs fan in them. I know who you are I know why you believe everyone should have a little Spurs fan in them Just admit you are a Ginobody fan...like it also crossed you mind about Stockton. inb4 "I just like good basketball. The way it is supposed to be played."
Well, Ginobili and Stockton are two of my favorite non-Rockets players. I guess I just like good basketball, the way it was supposed to be played.
I like it when basketball is good, and is played the way it is supposed to be. But, really, it's funny how 1 shot can change our perspective. Ray Allen misses that shot, the Spurs are champs right now, the LeBron only has 1 ring and in the middle of a losing streak.
