I think asik was the 2nd or 3rd most important player for us in the playoffs. Why are we talking about getting more scoring when realistically, had mchale run the twin towers earlier, LMA would have two historic nights less to his name and we would be in the finals right now.
In other words you want to keep asik(8m) + Melo(20+)+ Parsons(at least 10) and dump Lin(8mil)... Will not pay lux tax like that .
i'm not sure what's more ridiculous. thinking we're keeping asik, or that we'd be in the finals. how exactly would we have beat the spurs?
It's simple because in order to acquire a player of Melo's magnitude we must unload his contract. Melo>Asik.
1. If we keep Asik he will walk for nothing. 2. Asik's trade value will be diminished at the trade deadline since he'll be a pending unrestricted free agent. 3. The real question you should be asking is why don't we trade Dwight, Lin, #25, DMo, Jones, and future picks for Lebron and Bosh re-signed to fresh 4-year deals and keep Asik?
yeah, OKC has 4-0 against the spurs, they lost in 6 portland was 2-2, they lost in 5 the spurs swept the mavericks in the regular season, mavs took em to 7 and lost. they split 1-1 with miami, and are currently kicking the **** out of miami. the regular season does not matter
Asik was great in the playoffs, but he had to be played because the Rockets didn't have anybody else. If they didn't have Asik, they'd have more space to get another good player, and the Rockets may be better overall as a team because of it.
He acted like a b**** and I'm pretty sure he was the guy each player eluded to when talking about guys with agendas on their exit interviews.
