I think it will start off w/ Sura and then it will work it's way down to Head. That would be awesome, but I think NVE might take over.
No way Head becomes our starting point. Heck, ET was an amazing talent his rookie year, and couldn't do it. I'd love for Head to be so good that I'm wrong, but I just don't see it happening. Right now, Sura has to be the starter, and James his backup. If Van Exel gets signed, he'll have to earn it.
even though i dont think he'll be the starting pg i had to go with the al snow reference. it'll probably be bobby sura hopefully he has worked on his playmaking/setup skillls over the summer
I hope not, he's not a playmaker/facilitator. He's a gunner/overdribbler. Sura at least knows how to defer to our first 2 options (well one of them anyways) and does not tend to monopolize the ball. IMO whatever PG we get for this season will more then likely be a stopgap measure until we make serious effort to get that Vasseloius Spanoulis (yeah I butchered it) on the team next year. Unless something outrageous falls on our lap or somebody plays way over his head.
Why does everyone think Luther Head is gonna be so great. He was drafted 24th we need to be realistic. He might turn out to be better than sura/james but i dont think hes the long term solution for a championship caliber team.
With all the proven NBA players on the list, you want to go with a non-NBA player, somebody who has never stepped on an NBA court and hasn't shown anything? I am not saying he can't be a good player, I am just saying you can't evaluate somebody until you see them perform at the NBA level
Bobby, of course. IMO - I don't think we are going to acquire another PG or trade any existing PG's, until the trade deadline late in the season.
I don't know what's in the mind of guys here saying that we must wait for the trade deadline. We should make everything we can do this offseason in order to improve our team...
