Mad Max was the second leading scorer. You could give him the ball and let him make things happen. Dude scored 30 points in a 4th quarter. Is that role material? Nope.

It seems like people forget how Mario Elie did EVERYTHING! If you made a hybrid of Beverley, Battier and Horry...you'd have Mario Elie! He was the heart and soul of those back to back championships. He definitely earned his monicker of "Junkyard Dog". All of that AND the "Kiss of Death". Mario Elie isn't just the greatest Rocket role player of all time, he's an all-time NBA great role player. He had the smarts and leadership of Battier, the clutch shot making ability of Horry and the defensive intensity of Beverley

The only Rockets to ever inspire a fan protest outside The Summit after being traded! Anyone else remember that? I mean there were only like 10-15 of them, but they made the news and were even singing protest songs with Chuckie Brown's name in the song

Kenny was inconsistent and a TERRIBLE defender vs top PGs.

    Carmelo

(I voted Horry. But honestly some of the 80's guys probably deserve top consideration.)

Yup because other wise he would be a borderline allstar. His offense was very decent.

I'm going with Horry. Before the term, "stretch four," became popular today, he was essentially one in our second title run. Excellent passer, long range threat, runs the floor, clutch play and shot-maker. Plus he always gives props to Dream at every opportunity.
