If the DH12 or Bynum acquisition comes to a failure, who's gonna be the next target of DM knowing that we already have the 'assets' ?

I don't think there is another target because I don't think there is another star available. It's Dwight, Bynum or Bust at this point.

Can't get one of those guys you take your lumps this year and hope those draft picks you have are good.

With the additional of Lin, I don't think its CP3.

Probably Josh Smith in a SnT. If we can keep DMo, Patterson, and the Dallas pick, we might be able to swing a three team deal with Atlanta.

We'll get him in next year's draft.

I'm more than good with Shabazz, Noels, or Austin (Sic em).

There's always J Smoov who has indicated a desire to come to Houston in the past, but given our depth at PF I don't know that he is an option we would look to pursue.

Wiggins is also in next year's draft, not that it matters since we're almost definitely not getting a top 5 pick.

You could also ask this if he actually gets Howard/Bynum.

    Demarcus Cousins?

I'd prefer Cousins over Bynum straight up because of Bynum's injury concerns.

What would we have to give up to get Cousins? Is Sacramento willing to trade him? I know there were rumors to that end earlier this year.

I see where your coming from..they are both immature but if Bynum could stay healthy I would take him

    why not?

if you don't add that superstar, and don't start 'saving the day' by adding Iguodalas and such, you look like the favorites for the top 5, alongside the Bobcats.

there are only seven true superstars and unless they're damaged goods, no one is going to give them to you.

Getting Josh Smith would put us right back at the 14th overall pick. I'll pass.

I would doubt that Cousins is a possibility. Probably Ibaka and Hardin, next summer, Ibaka first to get them to commit money at $10-11 million, then Hardin at the max.

Morey with cap room has already proved to be very dangerous. Next summer he is going to have a scary amount of cap to play with.

Wiggins is not in next year's draft. He's eligible for the 2014 draft.

If Wiggins re-classifies, that is. He's only going into his junior year right now ( could be senior if he re-classifies)

but Bynum hasn't proven he can stay healthy, that's the problem.

I think Cousins is definitely a good guess. I don't think he's available right now, but given his personality I don't exclude a trade demand/clash in the future.

Rasheed Wallace's stubbornness mixed with Ron Ron's temper.
But he's more gifted than Bynum IMO.
Same strength, better basketball IQ/vision/passsing, better defensive mobility.
