a few years ago, i predicted that brooks would be our future starting pg. many on here talked about how brooks was another undersize lucas and 3rd or 4th best option at the pt. some on here mentioned he was another moochie. granted he stays, who do you think will be the next most improved rookie in a couple years? budinger, taylor, patterson, hill, and harris? for me, i lean toward budinger however i think patterson has the iq and work ethic to become better than bud. so i choose patterson.
I think Budinger is the closest followed closely by Hill. Taylor is getting better and better every time I see him but he is still not as far along as Chase and Hill. Pat is only rookie and we have yet to see him play in the NBA so I'm not sure about him yet.
i would like to see taylor take off and be a goto guy. i worry about hills defense. bud can be really good if he can be consistent. we'll see. rox have some really good picks.
I think Budinger will EXPLODE this season, Hill is still very raw and Patterson is just to new right now. Budinger, with a complete year under his belt, playing with Yao will let the guy just take off. The trio of Brooks/Martin/Budinger will reek havoc for other teams because they will need to focus on Yao so much leaving WIDE open spaces for these guys.
I think Kevin Love has a good shot at winning the award next year. As far as the most improved Rocket, I think CBud, hopefully he can get more minutes, and be the 6th/7th man with Lowry, ahead of Battier.
Most likely Budinger. Many may not agree but I like David Andersens game as well. His jump shots r sweet. He was a rookie last season and got in silly foul troubles. If he improves in rebounding this year and stays out of foul trouble he could be 2nd most improved player.
It won't be a Rocket. I don't think that our bench players will get enough minutes due to our deep rotation. Somebody would have to come out of NO WHERE. As in.. Jermaine Taylor avging 15 points a game playing back up SG every night. Or Ariza avging 20 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 assists.
I feel like he peaked on the team as it was assembled. With Yao and a slightly differently meshed team, we may see a jump in productivity.
