it looks like the worst case scenario still has a chance...

    mavs/heat finals.

i thought the lakers could knock off the mavs, and the celtics could take the heat. boy was i wrong. i still think the thunder and bulls have a chance to beat either of those teams in the conference finals, but as it stands they have their hands full just trying to get there themselves.

do you guys view a mavs/heat finals as a worst case scenario as well? if so, who is the lesser of two evils? IMO its worse to have miami tie us for total championships than it is for dallas to just have 1. although i physically can't see myself cheering for the mavs under any circumstance.

    thoughts? concerns?

The Heat. I couldnt think of anything worse than seeing Mark Cubans face if his team won a ring.

In the event of this, I will attempt to watch this series as unbiasedly as possible. Although there's no chance of that ever happening.

Miami winning will provide immediate validation of LeBron's departure from Cleveland.

    And Dallas.... is Dallas.

I would root for the Mavs to lose, but I wouldn't call it rooting for the Heat. I hate the Mavs so much that I can't even stand to watch one of their games unless they are losing. The Mavs turned me into a "laker fan" this last series

Mavs have been killing us lately in the regular season, this year they swept us. I'd like to still be able to say "Where's your rings???" when their fans are talking trash at the Toyota Center or outside of it. It's really our only argument these days.

I'm disgusted at the thought of people walking around in Dallas championship t-shirts. yuck.

Aw man, I didn't even think about that. Then again, unless Miami pulls a total fail, I think they're bound to win at least one championship with their current roster--maybe not this year, but it seems inevitable. That considered, I would still root against the Mavs. I hope they can stay ringless for all eternity.

Also, this thread needs a poll...

same here. but big picture is total championships. thats why the lakers and celtics are so highly regarded as franchises. i really don't want to move down that list.

Yea I understand that part, but big picture the Heat are going to win some rings nothing we can do about that.

I just hope the Rockets can become great again soon so we can add more rings.

Heat. Easily. I may hate the Heat, but there's nothing between us and them.

The only worse than that is seeing the Jazz winning a championship. Rep for you.

That's an easy choice for me. Mavericks.

I just don't feel the hate towards that team that a lot of people here do. Maybe because they've fallen short so many times, I just feel sorry for them.

I like their coach, and I like their best player. Same with the Bulls.

I'd actually love that result as I like both teams and their respective star players, Dirk, Kidd, Wade and Lebron.

I've always been a fan of Dirk, Wade, Lebron and Kidd and have only actively rooted against Dallas when they faced the Spurs, Rockets, Heat (06) and Warriors.

I don't care who wins as long as it's not the Mavs. I would even cheer for the Heat to beat the snot out of them. Sadly, this could be the Mavs' year.

My feelings exactly. And I've never like Lebron. I used to like Bosh and Wade... But never him ha.
