Ask me after the Texans play the Seahawks this weekend. If they can win, then they probably win 10-11 games.
Jags have 2 games left against >.500 teams including the Titans. Think we may need to pay more attention to what the Bills, Ravens and Raiders are doing.
Even with the jags cupcake remaining schedule, I still say we win it. Bortles is gonna fall flat on his face in divisional games and cost his team.
This is what I was thinking. Maybe, Seahawks, if we’re on the same page?! And even that game could go their way.
Either the Jaguars and that cakewalk schedule or the Titans if Mariota can recover to be a running threat again. As for us, I think the league will soon begin educating Deshaun Watson by taking away what's been working and making him to play from the pocket or throw it deep. I'll be watching the SEA game for the blueprint, but at some point adjustments will be forced upon him like they are for all rookie QBs. Then it'll be a matter of how quickly he can adapt to the new paradigm. I expect there will be struggles for at least a year from now. But when they get beyond those... look the eff out.
I personally have 0 faith in the Titans being a threat so I’m not that concerned about them(57-14 will never get old). The jags are like the Texans of old, devastating defense, solid run game, below average QB play. That last point is what I think separates us from them and is what will push us to the division crown. We have a QB who has so far put us in positions to win games and is only getting better. The Jags can’t say the same thing. I think Deshaun puts us over for the division crown, but I think it goes down to the wire. Also I think both us and Jacksonville make the playoffs FWIW
texans have the seahawks, rams, steelers and Jaguars as tough games. jags have the bengals(the line can null bortles and the running game), Texans(it will be a much different team than what they faced right after Harvey), the seahawks and chargers(elite baby making machine can go bonkers or throw 15 ints in that game) It will come down to the final game versus the jags.
Sure, we mortgaged our first 2 picks next year, but sitting on a fat stack of cap room, not re-signing Simon & Bouye, and taking a rookie QB of the future without intent to play him this year is hardly going all in.
McNair, Irsay, Adams Strunk are all white so we're rooting for Khan? Am I doing it right? Want to be sure.
