Melo could have just waited but when he didn't I bet the Knicks gave Houston one last chance to up there offer and Houston said No. So this is on Morey and Melo. Melo even offered to waive his trade kicker for us. Adding Melo could have put us on a list for Dwade and possiby Tyson Chandler if he got bought out too. I really want to know what else NY was requesting because right now OKC just went under us and got Melo and Paul george and we are a step behind.

melo's only value to the rockets was as a replacement for anderson and only phil would have taken back anderson to get rid of melo. melo for ariza and gordon is a dumb deal. melo for capela and anderson is an even dumber deal. the only leverage the rockets had was melo's no trade clause and trying to strong arm the knicks into accepting anderson and he gave up that leverage so it is what it is.

Just ask Ryno to take 100 3 pointers in Compaq Center. If he can make more over then just move! I'm serious

Morey out Morey'ed himself... Gave up too much to get CP3's bird rights - as opposed to just signing him - so he could circumvent the cap next year... and as a result didn't leave enough in the cupboard for any additional major moves...

It was a reasonable plan... just too many fluid pieces and/or unrealistic expectations regarding moving Ryno's contract...

Melo should've made an ultimatum that he only wants to go to Houston

Melo could choose which team he'd go too.

He folded. Morey isn't going to make the same mistake the Knicks made in trading for him.
