There was word that he was looking at properties in Houston during the summer. What what if one of those properties got damaged by Harvey?

I am not staying it is the reason he folded. But I wonder if it played a factor in his decision making.

Morey. You have to sacrifice something to get something. Morey should have blinked. Now we have to see Ryan Anderson play on the team knowing he should be gone for Melo and that our only chance to be truly elite is gone. Golden State, the Spurs and OKC are all better than us. Ryan better man up this year and show us something, but I think he’ll always be weak. We’re headed to a First or Second round playoff exit and maybe a Chris Paul exit after the season because of this.

I know folks with Million dollar homes who took flood damage during the controlled released of the Addicks.

Look no one knows why Melo folded but Melo.

My initial comment was a honest question and not a trolling attempt.

    You wanted to troll

You were trying to make light of a situation in Harvey that affected thousands of people. Apologize and move on.

Doesn't look good on you to take advantage of a catastrophe to spread your hate

Look here man. I actually went to demolish / clean up houses in the Meyerland area. Those people were devastated. I don't think they would take your Harvey humor attempt so soon.

I don't know about your previous posting history but I think you should edit your post on this one.

My familly and I have volunteered in shelters in the Fortbend area and I have worked extra hours at work so my employees could go help gut the houses of their co-workers.

I have edited my orignial post. I should have known better than to try and share a genuinely serious thought in a Carl Herrera thread of all places.

By the way I find your egg ball jokes hilarious.

    Very easy answer.

    1) Melo - He caved and did not play the long game. Got cold feet. He did not want to deal with NY Media day. Melo had leverage and gave it up.

    2) Perry - He is the one that PAUSED the trade that was going to happen. The 3 team trade that likely would have included Portland. The TIMING of this was VERY unfortunate. But still, it could have been overcome if MELO would have stuck to the plan. He did not.

Les cause he forced Morey to use the money on Anderson :D

In the end, not saying it's Melo fault, but when he wanted to get traded to NY he did everything he could to make it happen, and he didn't even have a no trade, maybe he didn't want to be here as much as we think.

This. Exactly this. Melo had the Knicks over a barrel, then got cold feet.

For punishment, he now has to live in Oklahoma for two years.

I would have included Joakim Noah in the list of choices. Had his uglyass albatross of a contract not been on their books, the Knicks would have been much more inclined to take a solid starter like Ryan Anderson, even with a bloated contract.

Whenever there is a question "who do you blame?" and the Knicks are involved, the answer is always to blame the Knicks.

Kanter, McDermott and a 2nd rounder is a joke of a return.

Oh well, we still had a great offseason and we have a pretty loaded and deep team. Can't wait for the season to start and for our team to come together so we can leave this nonsense behind us and focus instead on getting better from here

Small minded folks always look for someone to blame. You can always count on that in life.
