Since the other thread doesn't have a poll, just want to see what the ClutchFans universe thinks. If you don't like it, tell me why.
and maybe you should hold off until it's official, it may still change and you didnt specify what trade...
I like the trade as has been reported, but only if it includes the draft picks and Jordan Hill as described: 2010 NY 2nd round 2011 Flip of 1st round picks 2012 NY 1st round Those picks, a rotation player, and a young prospect really do it for me in this trade. And to get all of that without giving up a single rotation player....the man really is a genius. When NY was originally linked to us, I didn't think there was anything they had (or were willing to give up) to make a deal work without a 3rd team. I will be proven wrong if this goes down.
Love the trade, how can you not? We would be getting a lottery selection in Hill who has size, length and a ton of upside, Two possible lottery picks, Jefferies which I don't think is bad at all for a year, Dude can guard multiple positions and is a workhorse. If you don't like Jefferies it gives you an expiring to trade next year or in the offseason. Hopefully it's Harrington coming over, I believe it gives the Rox more flexibility in regards to flipping him. Anyone who thought the Rockets could get a superstar player for Mac I believe is just delusional. The Assets we have now along with the picks from the Knicks Imo make it more of a possibility we land a marquee free agent this summer
I'd rather we wait until the trade is official before starting trades like this. We don't know what the final details are going to be, and it could make a big difference. I'd also like to wait and see if the Rockets make a follow up trade before the deadline.
Its ok. I don't think its great for either team, unless those pics turn into lottery picks. But we won't know that 4 a while. I would love it if we could flip some of these forwards for a legit 2 guard by the deadline
