Melo - Always on this list for many people
    Derrick Rose - Mr. Glass
Damian Lillard - he and the blazers are just "not that good"

For me, currently, it has to be Anthony Davis.

This guy will likely be unstoppable in a few years. But he's not there yet. And the media is already treating him as if he is. Lots of preseason predictions about him likely being MVP. Until he can carry that team to more victories (I realize they're not at full strength) he should not be in any MVP convo.

Tread lightly when **** talking Davis right now for his poor start. Harden is in the same exact boat.

    30/15 %....

I think Anthony Davis was unfairly predicted to do too much. Possible MVP and DPOY and curing cancer in the same season. The guy isn't even 25 yet!

For me the praise has to not match a players ability. The stand-out for me here is Klay Thompson.

He's an elite, ELITE shooter, has a high IQ and can defend. But his handle, court vision and off the dribble attack (especially penetration) are poor.

This guy averaged less assists and rebounds than Pat freakin' Beverley last season and he was being held up against Harden as the top SG in the game.

    Nope.

If placed on a team to get buckets and create for others the way Harden, Lebron, Steph do he wouldn't cut it.

    Harden and Davis.

That offense is not treating Davis well. Until they can get a PG that can run the Pick n' Roll properly, Pelicans are 1st round exit every year.

Right now at this very current moment in time? Harden or Anthony Davis

If we're not overreacting to the first week or so of games? Probably Carmelo, Demarcus Cousins, or Klay Thompson.

I would have said Derrick Rose, but it seems like the media is finally accepting the fact that he isn't any good anymore. Same with Kobe. Only about a couple years too late, but they finally have opened their eyes.

    At the moment, James Harden.

Anthony, Rose and Kobe all are pretty much washed up now.

The guy that's shooting like 30% from the field and 1 for 50 on threes

    (James Harden)

If five more people say "James Harden," then he will become the most underrated player in the NBA.

    funny how that works.

A player can be both overrated and underrated at the same time, depending on who you listen to.

    1) Davis
    2) Harden

Beard and his weak D would be first, but the combination of hype and the slow start make Brow #1.

Klay isn't mentioned enough to be overrated IMO. Curry is the beast and by far the most credited player on GS.

    Durant
    Westbrook

    Captain hero ballers.

The strategy is for their teammates to stand around and watch those two try to play great.

3 game skid after starting 3-0 while requiring hero shots to beat Orlando.

David isn't that bad. Dude has not been shooting well, but he's added a 3pt shot to his game and taking 2.8 shots per game and hitting 36%.

    He's still improving his game.

He's still rebounding, blocking shots, and getting to the FT line 10x per game. All of this is on par or improvements over the past year.

What Davis hasn't done well is he's hitting a low percentage of 2pt FGs. I think that's by virtue of his shot selection, and also getting further away from the paint due to adding a 3pt shot. I think Blake Griffin took a season and a half or so (at an older age) to adjust to having added an outside shot. And knowing how to balance when to go outside and when to score in the paint.

And Griffin is a pretty damn unstoppable player right now.

Davis will be alright. It'll take him a while to know how to use his new weapon and balance it with his old game.

Harden likewise will pick it up and start shooting better. His game is still there.

I would say the most overrated is Carmelo Anthony. He just doesn't have it to dominate every single game anymore. And hasn't done it for a season or so. And it wasn't due to injury.
