Just wondering, who do you guys want? Who's available?

IMO Milkhair is toast, but who can replace him and lead this current roster to a title?

    Our biggest weakness is defense

I'd take Rock Adelman, Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, Tom Thibs, Scott Brooks, Mario Elie, Sam Cassell, Shane Battier, Beyonce or your mama over Kevin Mchale.

Thibs/JVG or someone else w/ a defensive mindset.

Way too early for this, OP, in my humble opinion.

It's never too early when you're dealing with McHale.

I would rather the Rockets just climb out of their rut, win at a higher %, and shut this argument up till June.

Again... if we are talking about as a realistic option mid-season (Its NOT happening now in NOVEMBER so this thread is .... well.... stupid... sorry Amel... you are a better poster than this) its because the Rockets are so horribly bad that it has to be done mid-season. The Rockets are bad to some here, but in reality they have won 4 out of 5 games.... they are doing SOMETHING right as of lately, and its worth exploring simple changes rather than blowout wholesale changes. Only poor leadership makes overreacting changes early in a reporting period based on one piece of data. Smart people view things objectively, and make their decisions based on risk, timing, and opportunity.... there is much risk, bad timing, and little opportunity in making a change IN F-ING NOVEMBER.

If you are a true Rockets fan that wants this team to win, then rather than exploding in your pants dreaming of a Woj Bomb announcing the Rockets have fired McHale (I guarantee you some idiots here actually have had this dream), you just want to focus on the team climbing out of their rut rather than having to worry about the coach.

The coaching change issue is a topic for May/June assuming the Rockets don't go deep again. If we are still obsessing about this (and I mean its an un-healthy OBSESSION here with many) than the Rockets have much, much deeper issues to worry about.

As a true Rockets fan I just want them to figure this SH#$ out, and start to win some games more predictably with less variations in their play. I'll worry about the coaching change this Spring/Summer.

The same guy that coached the Rockets to the Western Conference Finals last season. I don't think he did it by sitting in a lotus position on the sidelines and singing kumbaya.

Yeah, no. He doesn't really get credit for last season. Doc Rivers should be credited for the epic choke job. Essentially McHale coached a team that beat the awful Mavericks albeit without 2 key pieces.

The team has improved every year since McHale got here.

It's also humorous to hear people wanting JVG. We had JVG and ClutchFans wanted him fired.

It doesn't matter who the coach is. ClutchFans will always be unhappy.

JVG, Mark Jackson, Tom Thibbs, they would hold Harden accountable for playing D and jacking up shots when he's clearly off his game. The only fear is that they aren't creative enough on the offensive end (as if we are now)..

Great logic. The roster has also improved every year since he's been here. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the amount of wins though.

A bad coach can keep winning in the regular season with talent, but he can't win a championship. It catches up eventually when you get severely out coached by the best during the playoffs. Coaching comes into play in key moments, and that's where McHale fails horribly.

JVG had problems adjusting his offense. McHale has the same issue. Difference is JVG wouldn't let any of his players coast on the defensive end.
