    1) Thabeet. Even the most minor improvement would be magnified since he's been so terrible thus far.

    2) Squid. If Mchale gives him minutes I know he can make some plays.

    3) Hill. He's the perfect project for Mchale. I know a lot of fans are down on him as am I but if there was anybody that could help Hill with his game... Mchale is the guy.

    4) Patterson. I think he will step up his game regardless so I have the other guys ahead of him but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Patterson really makes his mark in the league next year. He has all the physical tools, talent and work ethic. He just needs to keep at it and gain the experience. He really reminds me of a Paul Milsap. Not superstar good but still damn good.

ppl tend to look at his stats instead of figuring out what weakness he has in his game. he is good at his mid range jumpers. he is good at defense end. however, his low post moves don't exist at all at least he didn't show them in the last season if he does have. i watched most rox games. he didn't have a lot of low post plays for him but when he did have a few oppotunities he didn't execute at all. he was horrible. he, as pf, should not just rely on his jumps only. he has to go to the low post to make his name over there.

I should've clarifed it more but when I mentioned his work ethic and exeprience I meant his low post game should and will improve as well. It's not very common for a rookie to have a post game let alone a rookie picked 14th overall. Even more, he played limited minutes and it's not like we used him as option A or B as a post threat. The post game will come.

Goran Dragic could really step it up this year. Did all of you see what he did at the end of the season? He got a triple double! If Kyle Lowry ever goes down with an injury, we are going to see some good things out of Dragic.

This is a biased and leading poll. At least you could have randomized the players.

A lot will depend upon opportunity, if we still have Scola, PPat will not get that many minutes....

If we still have Lee, Bud, & Kmart, TWill will have limited ops...

So for me, sense we have no centers, it will be Thabeet only because of opportunity.

McHale is a great opportunity for our big men.

Patterson has a chance to become a star player in the Al Horford type role or more with McHale's guidance (if he really develops his low post game and ability to get to the line he has a chance to be a 20 and 10 guy).

With McHale's tutoring, Hill has a chance to become a solid player now, and Thabeet, while he might not develop into a starter, might become a player capable of playing significant NBA minutes and that would still be a huge improvement.

If Patterson can become a star, and Hill or Thabeet become a solid center we can make the playoffs and be competitive. Developing our big men alone, and making the playoffs would make McHale's tenure successful (and most likely justify the change) with this roster I think.

(don't get me wrong, I still want to draft or sign a defensive center and two way SF)

Gotta go with Patterson... He took a big step forward last year, I feel he's going to do it again this year with Mchale. He's a solid player who I think is going to keep improving year after year.

I'm not going to make any predictions, but I'd love it if Hill became a viable option at the 5 and Pat developed a solid post game. Thabeet would be a bonus but Hill and Pat would be my wishes.

PPat if given the minutes will start producing big time. He is just so fundamentally sound and you can just picture him soaking up knowledge from McHale.

God I wish someone could help Thabeet. Dude is exactly what we need, great size just can't seem to get it together. Hell is offensive game isn't even that bad though honestly I could give a flip less if he never scores a point just rebound, block shots and stay out of foul trouble.

    Please please McHale fix Thabeet!

I don't think PatPat will ever be an all-star, but I do think he will become one of those players that become the most highly valued piece in a contender.

Perhaps something along the lines of guys like Jason Terry minus the douchiness. Not an all-star, but if available every single contending team will line up to pick him up.

That being said, I do expect PatPat, Lowry, Dragic and Bud to continue to improve. Though guys like Thabeet and T-Will, it's hard to tell. You can't predict how much effort thes guys will put in and whether they will listen to the new coach.

Like most of the other responses state I believe Patsquatch is self motivated and McHale will toss hints to him here and there. McHale's focus from what seems to be getting said so far is on the the bigs.

So I went and looked up some McHale and except for the blocked shots it was a kind of like watching Luis. So, if he can get Luis to block some shots

Hill seems to show flashes of Mchale's post-paint moves.

Marcus Cousin appears to have some of those same post- paint area move flashes, but also shows a shooting range closer to MCHale's.
