Lets take a break from the Mcgrady Saga, and think which team Rockets matched up best with.

I think we are a lower seed team playing either against Dallas, Denver, or maybe Lakers, We might end up 5th playing against Porland again.

But as of now, which team do we match up against the best?

My vote, Portland because they lost their centers, so the height advantage is not that dominant, but because of the same reason, Portland might even end up a lower seed then us.

    Ohh BTW
I think Yi Jialian is playing really good lately, averaging 20pts coming off the injuries. HAHA

Good job derailing your own thread in the very first two posts of the thread!

no i just think people should notice Yi for his playing lately instead of talking about CP3 all the time.

There is a thread discussing Yi in the NBA Dish.

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=179635

Why would you bring up Yi or CP3 in a Rockets forum/thread?

    It's still an interesting thread.

We're most likely to face the Nuggets, Lakers, Mavs or perhaps Spurs (I don't see the Blazers staying in the top without a center even though as a Houston fan I probably should).

Outta them I would face the Nuggets.

I would prefer it if we face the Blazers. No ****

My second pref would be the Nuggets because we have 2 players capable of guarding Carmelo and their bigs are more defensive orientated.

AB can probably drive past Billups with ease come playoff time.

As long as we don't leave JR open we will be fine.

IMO we match well with any team besides lakers and mavs (ESPECIALLY the mavs).

Good Point if he plays they are certain to not make it out of the first round.

Thus as long as we play a team playing Mcgrady we can't lose.

I have to disagree with u on billups, you remembered what he did to CP3 last year. Everyone was saying how CP3 would distroy him and he took paul to school. We really don't have anyone who can guard carmelo. Yes shane and ariza are great defenders, but both are not nearly strong enough to guard carmelo. To be honest i really think that is why the lakers trade for artest. Although artest have lost a step and can barely stay infront of his man, but he has the brute strength to match up with carmelo. Carmelo really does not depend on his speed to score, his bully his defenders. Although u are right that their bigs are really a defensive minded combo, but like us they really crash the offensive boards. We will really struggle to keep them off the glass, especially in a 7 game series.

For me, I would say that our biggest chance of an upset will be the spurs. I know they got 4 great players and some world class role players. Althrough parker is better, but ab can really give him troubles with his speed. Shane/ariza can shut down genoboli/jefferson easily. Duncan will be duncan, but his production has really gone down this year, and take in the fact that it is a 7 game series after a long season, I reckon duncan can't keep it up and our combo and scola and laundry can off set his production.
