Damian Lillard buzzer beater 3 made us come into last season as hungry as ever. We made the WCF last season and now we are a lackadaisical team offensively and defensively. You would think all these ****ty losses would fuel the Rockets up to play harder. We have way to much talent to look this bad on both ends. What do you think needs to happen to get the Rockets hungry again?
You'd think with chubbies like Harden, Jones and Thornton taking all the food, rest of the guys would be hungry.
Seems like all that offseason criticism of Harden and the Rockets motivated them for the 2014-2015 season. Seems like all that offseason hype of Harden and the Rockets caused them to relax for the 2015-2016 season.
This team is resting on stupid Western Conference finals laurels and thought that by just adding Lawson they could cruise to the title So much entitlement top to bottom. It starts with Morey's arrogance and stupid comments like coaching doesn't matter to his constant twitter campaign to prop up the idiot McHale and Harden. And then you have our lead player Harden b****ing all off season and then coming out and seeing his team 4-5. Maury thinks he has solved basketball and can just hire a puppet lap dog head coach and run his stupid layup and 3 philosophy Last off season team was hurt real bad and they had two practices during training camp and emphasis on D. This off season they felt they achieved everything and came in like over confident brats. Complacency And let's not start about coaching
The team thought they reached the mountain top after lucking upon a WCF appearance. Harden's diva butt proclaiming he's the real MVP, etc. It's just a joke. This team is really hard to root for right now.
Made it out of 2nd round for first time in long time. Apparently, that's enough for the team. I don't think any1 on this team even wants to win a ring that badly except Dwight.
They only won 1 playoff series in the 00's. In the 10's, they've won 2. That's good enough for the rest of the decade.
Unfortunately its one of those times/instances where we have a team with high expectations faltering under last years results. Maybe making the WCF's did us more harm than good. We still don't have both Dmo and Jones back at the PF spot but that doesn't give us that much leeway in the effort department. Just having Dmo back won't change much, and it's most likely going to take him awhile to get back into game shape too. Hopefully the Rockets will start to figure out that just having talent alone won't win us games.
