We did get Robinson for Patterson and "cashed in" Robinson's potential for Papanikolau and a bunch of 2nd round picks, IIRC. At the end, all these are much ado about nothing in terms of getting a satisfactory starting PF. That was Morey's M.O., keep flipping the assets to keep the flexibility until we find one that can stick. We are now finally settling (sort of) with an elite shooter in Ryan Anderson as the proverbial stretch 4, and people are still not satisfied, mainly because of his large contract. I feel that the whole PF situation through the past 5 years or so is so ironic.
Yes, especially when the under-the-radar, under-sized (but long), 4yr senior, position-less, intangibly-skilled PF that Morey's data-mining was always looking for was in the very same draft as Royce White, with Morey holding *three* First Round Picks to take him ... and Morey missed him...to gamble on White. Biggest Irony of Morey's career was to take Royce White and Terrence Jones in the same draft as you-know-who.
TJones is stomping on homeless dudes up in Oregon, while Dmo is running from wolves in some forest in Europe. ************Sources Per Broussard
I've always wondered how we would feel about you-know-who if we drafted him. And that draft actually had a couple other pretty good gems in the second round: Crowder and Middleton.
Apparently Bobby Brown had 74 pts once. I recall JR Smith scoring 60 pts once and other dudes have been scoring over 70. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Basketball_Association_records
