Hardenstein is too slow to play in this system.....It has to be Bruno

Harden has been playing hurt for nearly two months. He doesn't quite have the explosiveness he had before the injury. I would not count on it healing by the playoffs but it is something that ebbs and flows.

I am not sure that a rim running big man makes a whole lot of difference to a healthy Harden, in fact I think it hurts him. With his lower body injury, it perhaps could.

Either way I do not think it is a real issue. In the playoffs Harden and Westbrook both are going to be playing 40 minutes in important games.

His toes/foot are bother him and his leg. He cannot push off the ground like he would like to.

Supposedly the toes and leg are better than they were is January but still are not at 100%.

He really shouldn't have played in January and only did so because of needing wins.

No one talks about it because Harden doesn't talk about it.

this is why it seems insane to me to rest WB on b2b's when he's clearly healthy, and sit EGO for 4yr old kid boo-boo's. just so we can run an already hobbled harden into the ground even more

and with regard to posts above, EGO actually does look fat. needs to shed 10-15 lbs to get in playing shape

Yea people are really just trying to put Harden’s off games into perspective when in reality, Harden probably just has on offf game. And these off games have been happening even before Capela got traded.

Exactly, because the lob threat from Capela definitely creates more space than the 3 point threat from Covington.

Of the top 10 lineups with Harden, Capela is in 8/10 of them.

However, Harden averages higher FG% in the 2/10 that Capela is not in.

You actually couldn’t be more wrong, again. Anything else you want to make up? I can check and if we do this all day, you might eventually say something that’s accurate.

Instead of Harty, substitute Bruno instead.

Bruno is longer and better lob threat (7'7 wingspan vs. 7'2 wingspan), Bruno is better rim protector, Bruno is better 3ball shooter, Bruno is more disruptive (blocks, steals, deflections) but most of all.....

Bruno is not a liability as switch everything defender.

Totally agreed. The and1 opportunities will have to open up. Even without and1 gaurantees, Russ can get buckets.

I agree totally. The only problem is the Rockets should just offer Hartenstein a better deal and basically try the "Hartstein Post" experiment either with a new coach or soley with Hartstein by parting ways with pj tucker.

Well in reality, Russ is basically our center on offense so why what's wrong with having a non-shooter when he's not on the floor? At least he'll be 7 foot tall, grab a few rebounds, and throw down some lobs from Harden.

Harden was dominating everyone a few months ago. Then Russ had to figure out how to work in the system, which forced Harden to give him the space to do that. Then the Capela trade dropped and we went all-small. Harden just needs a little more time to rework what works best for him now and what doesn't work so well.

He'll get it done because he's one of the smartest guys in the league. Be patient.

Harden has lost a step and when he beats his man, he is often blocked. This approach makes sense. I wish Bruno was ready for the role but throwing Tyson out there for 10-15 min makes sense for the lob and some offensive rebounds. It doesn't hurt to try.
