This! Of all the sports, playoff basketball belongs to the team with the best player on the floor. Now we have two alphas who are able to wreak havoc if one is having an off game. And now the offense is much more conducive to the strengths of both our recent MVPs.

If we can get our defense to a top 10 level then I like our chances.

The ship was sinking in December, Morey plugged the hole and pumped out all the water. Seems like you posted this right when the water was out of the boat.

I felt like Marty McFly as he was just about to be erased from history while playing the guitar at the Enchantment Under The Sea dance... Then the Capela trade happens and I've shot up off the ground, feeling revived and back to life.

Here's to hoping that we can rock Johnny B Good all the way through the playoffs!

Knew if was sinking after mchale left. Howard and Capeala developed under McHale. Capeala was not really gaining ground under Dantoni so the trade was not necessarily a bad thing.

Dantoni never developed big's in the league. Dantoni had Stoudamire straight from high school. Dantoni had Boris Diaw who never thing much besides jack up 3's.

Small ball never amounted to much so it's difficult to expect big things in my opinion.

House developed as a wing under Dantoni but House played under different nba coaches in addition to Dantoni.

When you point the obvious out, you get labeled a pessimist around here until a couple years/months down the line when the koolaid slurpers wake up. This isn't a submarine capable of hitting from below, its sinking into the water.

Fear you are right ... that win streak feels like it was months ago suddenly ... hate the way this team teases me so much the last 3 years. I was ready to write them off pre trade, didn’t love the trade, didn’t love small ball, loved small ball reservedly though, now can’t belive for a second this team has any kinda of real shot again ...

Im right there with you. James and Russ werent working. I thought our personell was lacking and that we needed to add a significant player. Instead we swapped out a significant player. I thought the trade smacked of desperation. But small ball was starting win me over. Then we hit a losing streak where all our vulnerabilities were exposed. Hard to get excited about a fundamentally unbalanced and inconsistent team.

That is precisely how you would view MDA's career, it starts out really good as one of the best teams,

there is usually a letdown somewhere.
