Isn't that for summoning the devil? now you got me worried. That's some Roman Polanski and Johnny Depp, ****.
The problem with Harden is that he brings nothing to the game when he’s in a slump. Kawhi Leonard can still play elite defense and go 0-10. When Harden goes 0-10 he’s a liability on the floor.
Combination of first date jitters playing with wb, faster pace, and refs goin after him affecting his rhythm, shooting, and aggresiveness Im more in the "its just 2 first f*kn games" camp Than "harden as been permanently exposed as a beta" camp
It's two things... - Shooting slump - He has a superstar next to him that's beasting AND it's killing him that he's second fiddle. Maybe flashbacks to his OKC days?? lol who knows, it's a mixture of things. Once he makes adjustments and starts shooting well, it will work out. I can't be the only one thinking this?
The league has changed the way they call fouls. What worked in the past doesn’t anymore. He (like anyone else would) needs time to adjust. Once the adjustments are made there we will be. random thought: China is costing people money & CP3 is president of the players association —> not that Paul has an issue or anything with the Rockets or Harden. Politics is the hardest thing to overcome. Is anyone really surprised with all the league’s puppets saying that Harden was going to be MVP—> just coving-up for the league—> knowing that he won’t be able use 1/3 of his normal offense—> next they will start with Harden is just damaged goods and he doesn’t play well with others—> Politics
Harden will get his shot back and it's business as usual. I'm just didn't like how last night, his shot was clearly off and he seemed to try to force it back at the expense of the team. He doesn't have the average 40 ppg anymore, he's got a superstar playing next to him again. He's not going to win MVP this year, so focus on team accomplishments instead of individual goals Westbrook has bought in to a team first mentality so far. Harden needs to buy in next.
Harden is 1 of 4 Rockets currently with a positive net rating. He’s shot it like crap but we have been better as a team with him on the floor thus far.
What do you mean by net rating? His offensive rating is 88 and his defensive rating is 109 for a net rating of -21. By plus/minus though, he is +4
Harden is never a zero. He is always a threat. I don’t care if he’s cold or not, leave him open and he’s going to burn you. The man can shoot the ball, drive to the basket, and make split second accurate passes. No way he is ever a zero on offense.
He’ll be fine Also a couple of those offensive fouls are bullshit , especially considering other players aren’t getting called for the same thing . As far as his defense goes , it looks worse so far this season ... but that’s a 2 game sample size . He looked good at a few points He’s just not mentally engaged enough . He’s playing sloppy and it’s frustrating him. It’s called a slump , everyone goes through it. What needs to happen quickly tho (and then we build on it) is that everyone gets on the same page defensively. (Including James )
Oh ok. Slightly different stat for NBA.com vs basketball reference. That's team offensive rating while he's on the court whole basketball reference defines it as points produced/100. Both useful
