After the draft, I was excited 1) about Motiejunas, 2) Morris. I don't really expect DM to make hits in the 2nd round every year. Doh! The man is definitely a genius at making 2nd-round picks.
Different.... Parsons played professional league with Cholet in France....whereas Patterson had an injury, Morris did little during the work out as he stated because of injury risk Parsons laid it all out in France so it's not really a surprise he is ready to go at the very least.
Sometimes players can't find their niche in a new system and just don't fit. Aldelman's backcuts fit budingers game and his system also fit Patterson spot up shooting strengths. (I still think Patterson fits what McHale wants..he got of to a slow start due to injury and is still working his way back). I think we need to look to move Budinger though...He just doesn't look comfortable in the new system and he's a HUGE liability on the defensive end.
Why not? Players with his size/athleticism and skill set could start on plenty of teams in this league. You don't need a star at every position. Championship rosters are built with glue guys (solid starters) like Parsons.
Maybe he thinks we can get an allstar or star at that position....that makes Parsons coming off the bench again.
Why not? He's a better player. Morris has a lot to learn, he's way behind Chandler in terms of defense, and I think he needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Morris is a typical rookie -- he probably won't help you win much in his first year. Parsons looks, by comparison, to be an atypical rookie.
Bud is a one-dimensional mental midget player who can't play defense and is useless when his shot is off. People got excited when he shot well and forgot his shortcomings. Parsons is a well-rounded player so I am not worried about him.
