The obsession for 3 and D wings is ridiculous. That’s why y’all lost game 7 cause the 3 didn’t show up.
My problem with Morey isn't him letting Ariza and Luc( 2 rotation guys) walk out the door with a combined total of $20million in contracts..... My problem is letting them walk out the door while still keeping and paying Ryan Anderson the same amount and he couldn't even crack the rotation
Really? My problem is more so with the attitude, acting like Ariza & Luc are chumps and easily replaceable. Doesn't look good, I'll tell you that.
I think what Morey and the rest of the NBA’s strategy should be is to pray Boogie never regains his form and Curry or Durant goes down with a wrist or Ankle injury and that would pretty much allow teams to have a chance. If that team is healthy, there is no beating them. Period.
To be fair this seems to be a league wide obsession at this point and for good reason too. The 3pt shot has become so much a part of today's game that you have to have these guys.
"I love the Melo shot 40% crowd Melo shot 6/15 on average, if dude makes 1 more shot per game, 1 more shot he's at 46% from the field and all of sudden he's efficient and if that shot was a 3 he'd be over 50% from 3 This is why the numbers don't bother me at all because I feel like with the looks he'd get in Houston he'd shoot really well from the field. The defense I've already posted, dude had a similar rating the guy he'd be replacing" all i need to know about the IQ here. stopped paying attention
The only reason why I haven't gotten negative yet is because I'm still waiting to see if he can swing a trade involving Ryan Anderson + a pick for a 3&D wing player like Kent Bazemore. It comes down to what would you rather have.... Ariza ($15 mil) + Moute ($4.5 mil) for a total of $19.5 mil in added salary (not including a huge luxury tax) OR Melo ($4 mil) + Ennis ($2.5 mil) + Bazemore ($18 mil) - Ryan Anderson ($20 mil) for a total of only $4.5 mil in added salary (little if any luxury tax) Give me the 2nd choice.
Yet you just posted this lol Sure buddy you’re still watching And once again missed the context of the post but what else is new
I guess your priorities are a bit different. worrying about money that isn't even yours 1st choice: maintain a shot at winning a championship with the same core with another run 2nd choice: no chance
There’s ton of them out there. I would understand if you guys lost Paul or Capela but Ariza and LMM are replaceable pieces.
Where? I mean if we were in a good spot financially maybe you could look at it that way but we just aren't. Morey and company just seem to be a little too nonchalant abt losing two of our best defenders IMO especially with what we're hearing abt these potential no name replacements they're looking at.
