The only way we'd be able to be on par with the Warriors is to build and solidify our bench unit. I think the only thing the Rockets need to upgrade are the front court positions. Need more depth.

3 & D players are key. Golden state is a top offensive and defensive team. We're a top offensive team, yet middle of the pack defensive team at best. Get more guys who are willing to grind out and hustle like Beverley

Our starting lineup has only one player that would be an automatic starter on other nba rosters. That needs to change, they have three so we should at least have two and the second one needs to be a hungry killer and hopefully he's at the sf position just because they have a killer at sf. So basically we need to upgrade the sf position with an elite player and the pf position with a borderline elite player and we'll be good to go

Mother****ers that shoot +35% from three CONSISTENTLY.

Come hell or high water, they just shoot at the same clip regardless of if it's the regular season or the playoffs. Therefore, no Road Ryno, no Brick-to-my-Lou, no Peasant Athreeza type bullshiters who can't consistently shoot the same damn wide open shot every time.

There were moments in game 5 where if dudes had just shot a few three in a consistent manner, the Rockets would have blown the lid off the Spurs.

You are claiming "not many teams" would want to be a "one hit wonder" like the Mavs? Only 11 teams have won a championship in the last 37 years. That means 2/3 of NBA teams should damn well be jealous of Dallas' success.

I am by no means a Mavs fan, but am surprised you would discount the significance of winning a championship, when it is pretty hard to do even once.

Wait until Tanya Harding's bodyguard takes out the big 3 from Golden State. Then we may have a chance as is.

We need Harden, Bev, Melo, Hayward, P George, CP3, A.Davis

The heartless, title-less, yet supremely talented underachievers to rise up and fulfill their dreams and take down the Spurs, Warriors and cavs.

In all reality, jokes aside this is my take and only realistic option but still not on the same level

We need an all star/superstar caliber player preferably at SF. So this is either Jimmy Butler, Gordan Hayward or Paul Goerge. I love Hayward but I think he's the weakest out of the 3. We add one of those players we drassiticslly lower the superstar play making off harden.

We obviously obtain Gordan, Bev and capella

Everybody else is questionable for cap space and upgrades.

We ditch Anderson, he's to streaky and if he's not making 3s he's utterly the most useless player. Pray we can sign a PF like Paul Millsap or something in the sorts.

Hope we can sign some players for cheap who are good off the bench.

A more realistic option is hope Lebron beat the Warriors ass in the finals. Like 4-1 or 4-0.

Tell Harden to recruit KD with all his career on the line. "Get KD or we'll trade you to the Nets with Lin only fans!"

Trade your future away for Westbrook. Tell Harden to hire thugs to beat up Sam Presti like he did Moses.

Sign Ibaka in Free Agency. Offer him free iPads.

Surround the rest of the team with savvy vets and ring chasers like CP3 and Melo.

Form the 2012 Finals Thunder Team v2.0 This time with 3 MVP caliber players and proceed to **** the Warriors in the playoffs.

edit: Also, fire Pringles and hire Mark Jackson because he has a Vendetta against the Warriors.

There is not much we can do to outdo them offensively, but we can certainly become better than them defensively. If they are #1 offense and we are #2 offense, then our target should be to maintain that offensive efficiency while becoming the #1 defensive team. They are not defensively supremely talented - Klay and Draymond are excellent, Durant and Zaza are average, and Curry is worthless on that end. Iguodala is still great on that end.

Theoretically, if we added Paul George and Paul Millsap to this roster without losing a major piece, we would beat them imo.

That is because you took what I said too literal.

Because you think teams have no choice but to beg for stars. If you were the Lakers you at least could get your superstar one or the other way.

You at least could bank on more than one title, when you had the right 'superstars' and role players. And coach.

If teams had this kind of choice, of course they would want to win more than one ship.

They would if they could build a Spurs or GSW team rather than the Mavericks being No.1 seed and be embarrassed by the 8th Seed Warriors.

That does not make their championship more valuable.

It is what people want, not realistically get that I was talking about. Theoretically.

Yes, but we can be better than them relatively easily. Just like the Spurs are a better defensive team than them, except the Spurs don't have the offensive firepower we have.

Warriors are #1 offense and #2 defense. We should aim to be #1 defense and #2 offense.
