It'll be "why couldn't Melo do this in OKC?" and "why was Melo so selfish in OKC?" and "Melo pulls the wool over OKC fans' eyes"

Nothing positive about Melo, nothing positive about how good the Rockets are, and especially nothing positive about how CP3 and Harden obviously had a hand in Melo being good / efficient.

not possible with how much harden and cp3 dominate the ball unless he is insanely efficient. he is mostly a rhythm guy so he needs shots to get it going, so most likely he wont blow anyone away with his overall play. he will have his moments though.

OP forgot the obvious one, the media will say that he learned and improved by playing with Westbrook that’s why he got better in Houston. Just like what the narrative was about Oladipo and others.

"Stats inflated because of MDA system, everyone is better in MDA system"

Pretty sure this will their statement.

"MELO learned how to be a great team player and scoring after spending 1 year with MVP Westbrook. Westbrook taught Melo how to score and play just like he did with Victor O.

    The media narrative would be
" Time machine inventor wins Nobel prize. Milionairre NBA player first customer, gets back his game from 10 years ago".

Narrative will be same as with CP3 joining the Rockets:

from: this won’t work as Harden & CP3 will need to make sacrifices and share the ball, and while CP3 is a good
catch and shoot (3-pointers) type a player.....he didn’t do that in LA
(media never saw Blake Griffin dribble the air out of the ball).

to: I knew they could do it all along.

Melo scored 7.2 pts per game on the average (in 17/18) on “Catch and Shoot”....
    Catch and Shoot (of 3-pointers)” : 1.9 (3PM) out of 5.1 (3PA’s) per game in 17/18. 37.3% from 3 in CnS.
    54.0 eFG%.
    https://stats.nba.com/players/catch-shoot/
    (see 2nd page)

Melo (17/18): 2.2 (3PA) on 6.1 (3PA) per game........expect these numbers to get an uptick as Houston wants Melo
to shoot about 8 (3PA’s) per game. 6 to 7 (3-pt attempts) as CnS.

This is how Melo becomes more efficient .......that coupled with less mid-range. Go Rockets!!

He will not avg 20ppg. He simply will got get the shot attempts on a regular basis. However, he will def. have those games where he goes off for 30+ here and there because he can do that. Overall, I expect him to be a solid role player

Yes, I don't think many expect him to average that much. His weaknesses on defense will come into play here too. I think he can be a good 6th man for us. Ennis can play at the 3 with Tuck at the 4 as part of the starting unit. EG and Melo will be an awesome combo off the bench.
