I rather keep Anderson than trade for Plumlee. Most likely if we keep CP3, we’ll be operating over the cap, might as well and keep Anderson’s salary for a trade down the line.

Of course it's hurting the team, you could be spending that money on better players duh.

That's why even if he is not playing Anderson is hurting the team. Just his mere existence harms the team because you could be having a star player playing alongside Harden and Cp3 with that 20M.

Chicago is another destination where Anderson can land. His shooting would really help Levine and Dunn.

Lopez@13M for Anderson and a pick would work.

Do the Rockets have to pickup half of his salary to move him, The Rockets really need draft picks in the First Round, we need a Solid prospect. A Terry Rozier type, Kyle Kuzma Type off the bench. Daryl really needs to draft better. After Capela and Zhou Qi, majority have been busts

It's too early to comment on Zhou. I haven't been impressed with his work
in the G-League. If he doesn't improve, he will end up being a bust, just like Nanu. Hartenstein has made good strides. I expect him to be a contributor in the next season.
We don't have the assets to acquire Rozier or Kuzma types. I don't know if Daryl would have picked them or not. He tends to go for "upside" players like T. Williams/ R. White when there is a lack of talent. At other times, he has gone for safe players like Dekker, who is looking like a bust. I did like the Trez pick though. Maybe someone like that might become available in a year or two.

Seriously? You get picks plus lower salary you do that trade all day every day.

Yes only for the reason that Ryno makes 20M, so it would be easier to facilitate a big trade. Also, Ryno can actually help you win games in the regular season. For any team that is looking to make the playoffs.

I honestly do not know what Plumlee does well. Is he better than Black or Nene? Honest question.

Yeah which team is willing to take 20M for a crappy player when they could be paying a good player that amount? Sure you can wait 3 years when Anderson's deal is expiring but what happens to Harden's window by then? FYI even NYC doesn't want a 62M 3 year contract on their books thats why they sent Melo to OKC instead of Houston.

Nene is old and Black is a scrub, either way Plumlee is an upgrade because you save 7M salary which equivalent to a mid level deal or 14M++ in luxury tax. It's much easier to convince the owner to pay up when he looks at the roster and doesn't see a scrub making 20M.

only way you could get rid of anderson is package him with eric gordon and maybe another asset for some scrub.

some trash team or a playoff or fringe playoff team with a weak bench would take him with eric gordon.

Isn’t the NBA trade rules set so that we have to take salary back? I know they don’t have to be equal but isn’t it ballpark range?

If the team taking him is under the cap they can send nothing back creating a TPE. If they’re over the cap it’s within 125% of salary under most circumstances. There’s a bunch of other nuances but that’s the general idea.

So Ryno can be sent out for less in return if the team has cap space to absorb the difference.

We should fire the GM who decided to give him this contract. This contract is as bad as Brock Osweiler and the GM who signed him is gone.
