There isn't an option on Bogan's contract. The Rockets have submitted an offer. But I don't thing there is any confirmation that Bogans has actually re-signed yet. I think he will though as I don't think there will be a lot of teams offering a contract or a larger contract than what we are offering.
Both are pretty good athletes who can be defensive specialists. Both have good size to play SG and are big enough IMO to play some SF in necessary. And both are terrible shooters, period. Looks like Stevenson will command a lot more money than Bogans, that's just my opinion though. We will have to tap into our MLE or our TE to get Stevenson, but IIRC, we can resign Bogans w/o having to touch neither of the above.
Frahm and Bogans are worth resigning for the minimum to fill in the team. positions 14 and 15 on the roster. That is if we are really building a championship team!
The qualifying offer made to Bogans just means the Rockets have the OPTION to match any other offers. If someone gives him a ridiculous offer, he would be gone. Correct? The vets minimum for Wesley would be a good thing in my opinion. He was coming off of knee surgery and was slower than previously, took a LONG time to get his shot back and played way more minutes than anticipated. He is a hard worker, smart, good effort, no knucklehead kind of guy. If you could sign him for minimal amount that would be terriffic. He would not be expected to play long stretches but could still be effective in the right matchups. Okay I'll beleive you guys on Frahm, but I never saw anything remotely exciting about him last year and I either went to or watched virtually all of the games. I sure must have missed him highlight moments.
Frahm doesn't have his shot in 2/3 games he played season. His averages are skewed by having 3 or 5 games where he hit something like 5 threes in a single game.
His average also was skewed by the fact he was played injured in those last frantic days of last year's debacle.
