Nothing beats football in this city. Of course the rockets are going to be a runaway winner on this board, but in actuality it is the Texans by a HUGE margin. The rockets can't sell out a game with a good team, but the Texans sell out every game with a horrible team. Toyota center seats about 20,000 and Reliant seats 70,000. Not hard to figure out. The only reason there have been so many Astros coming out recently is because they made the trip to the world series 2 years ago, and the year before that came very close to getting there. Could you imagine what this city would be like if the Texans made it to the superbowl?
meowgi, i use to be a diehard baseball fan when i was kid, the baseball cards, etc. but basketball is EONs ahead of baseball. you can play hoops with less people and less equipment. 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 5 on 5, full court, half court, 21 u dont a gigantic park, bases, bats, gloves. there's creativity. a home run is a dude swinging the bat and hitting the ball hard. while there are many more moves in basketball, fakes, cross overs, reverses, BASKETBALL, the NBA, the WORLD!
I was the same and feel the same. But then there is skateboarding. It's just you vs. the world, plus no little leagues and baseball dads etc.
The Texans have captured the cities great real estate area and brought the most successful sport league (NFL) back to the city of Houston. However the Texans have failed to capture our hearts. Like Yao, Tmac, and the numerous heroes before. The Rockets have captured the hearts of the WORLD.
