ouch...that's as low as indignity gets.

Rice was such a big deal not so long ago. It's sad to see this happen, but I guess his career was in a swan dive long before this.

He and Tony Gwynn are going to start their career as twin models.

Well, he used to play for the Knicks so maybe the Rockets will go after him.

    Rice is done.

    Interesting.

Did he already have a guaranteed contract or something? I thought if they waived him a week (or so) ago, it would help their pocketbook. Why would they wait 'til now to waive him if that's the case?

I remember when he used to be someone when he played for Charlotte. But then I guess he's just one of those players that were a superstar at one time..ie. Shawn Kemp, Vin Baker, Steve Smith, etc.

Don't forget when he was in Miami either. He was a stud for a long time.

Let's give him a 10 day contract when Mark Jackson's 10 days are up.

Can we pick him up? He should be cheap.

Glen provided some good veteran leadership on the team last year, which this team still needs. And we can always use another shooter, especially when Pike is not getting the job done.

No, he's fat, slow, and even last year his shooting touch came and went. He doesn't fit into JVG's system and judging from last year despite his height couldn't even make a good pass inside to Yao.

Eh, I always thought Rice was kinda slow and not so good at defense. The only player I really want back is Posey =(

It's sad to see anyone struggling to play especially after having a successful career. I hope he will be able to join up with a team where he might be able to get some minutes but I wouldn't want him back with the Rockets.
