What is the player type needed to best suit a co-role with Harden? Is it a PG? SF? PF? C?

And from there, whats the play style of that position? Do we need a playmaking 4? Pure defender/rebounder big? What is it? I ask sincerely because it seems like the sentiment on Clutchfans is that it is not a playmaking PG like Paul and some people want Butler.

Someone that stands at the three point line and does not demand ball movement.

A PG-Kawhi-Jimmy Butler type that can guard the best player and can still be an elite playmaker/scorer.

    A CP3 that doesn't shoot 27% from threes in the playoffs? :D

An Hakeem type player would nice. Can score around 25ppg a game. Shut down the paint. And top 10 in the league in steals from the center position.

    Klay Thompson.

A 3 and D player who can create their own shot when needed.

    Steven Adams.

A big man who rebounds and plays great defense, one who isnt going to demand touches.

I mean, it can be a pick&roll or pick&pop 4/5 just like a wing who doesn't need the ball in his hands much ala Paul George, a guard like Klay or a PG like Curry.

On paper Chris Paul isn't/wasn't the perfect fit but it almost worked, my guess is just about "being a great player".

Does Clint getting 20 points a night get tired of so-called ISO dribble?

Ditch “star” players, I’ll take 9 other guys who are at least 6’8”, give it up on defense and hit 35% 3s. Basically a slew of Arizas and Moutes.

Paul George seems to not have a problem standing around, and watching a high usage guard.

Paul George, Jimmy Butler but unfortunately with all the superteam trends these days, it's impossible to win without 3 all-stars on the same team unless the other team is injured.

Talent and health....the two things our highest paid player is quickly running out of.
