Please no fantasy on this thread. You can lock this thread if you don't like it.

I knew some of you are interested in Malcolm Brogdon and Kelly Oubre, but they could demand $15 million or more a year. I considered it is fantasy. I knew some of you are interested in Danny Green and Seth Curry, but may not be enough to sway either because they are hot products.

My Realistic Target for a taxpayer MLE free agent is DeMarre Carroll or Wilson Chandler.
    What is yours?

    Taxpayer MLE ($5.7 million),
    Full MLE ($9.2 million).

Speculation shows Austin Rivers demands 2 years $20 million.

    JaMychal Green
    Al Faroq - Aminu
    Kentavious Caldwell - Pope
    Wilson Chandler
    Taj Gibson
    Terrence Ross
    JJ Reddick

All the players above fit the Rockets needs of a stretch 3/4 or 4/5 or are just too good to pass up

The Rockets also need to go hard after players like Markieff Morris, Garrett Temple, Thabo Sefolosha, Mike Scott, Kyle O'Quinn, JaVale McGee, Luc Mbah Moute, Cory Joseph, Amir Johnson, Ed Davis, Trevor Ariza in the "clearance" section of free agency.

My two most wanted players this offseason are JaMychal Green and Kelly Oubre. I genuinely think they’d become close to all stars here. Oubre will probably command 13-15 a year and Green probably 8-12. If we can somehow get Green for the MLE I’d be ecstatic. With Oubre being restricted I can not see him as an option.

Thad Young is worth more than the MLE, but I’d gladly take him.

Wilson Chandler??? I have you seen him recently?

We need a SF and/or PF. If you can't trade CP3, sign Marcus Morris w/MLE, sign and trade a #2 and Nene for Markief Morris and keep it moving!

I think we will split it up to take chances. What we need is 10+ million dollars production level .

Prolly not gonna be able to nab that with one guy with the MLE .

I hope we can keep rivers , but even though he's would be underpaid at MLE , we might be better served using it to try and fill other holes in the roster

It's a bit simple , but look at how our roster $ are divided by position .

My guess is that between harden , Gordon , and Paul ... that's probably 80 percent of our total roster dollars spent on 2 positions

I mean Gordon and Clint pretty much Vance each other out ... and then PJ makes 8 to Chris and James' 40

Do we really need to use our remaining money on another guard ?

Most people here seem to think forward .

You really only have Clark and PJ . Clark might develop into a good regular season player . But you probably don't want to count on him being in your best 7-8 down the stretch unless he really picks it up .

We can hope for hartenstein to develop into the backup C .

MLE target(s) should be high upside IMO . Maybe rivers . If you think CP3 is becoming less and less reliable . Then, investing addition $ at the guard spot starts to make more sense .

Mid-low tier (so, at least somehow realistic targets) players i kinda like and the contract i think they'll get (per season):

    Bogdanovic (8/10M)
    Brook Lopez (8/10M)
    DeAndre (8/10M)
    Mirotic (8/12M)
    Danny Green (8/10M)
    Redick (8/10M)
    Marcus Morris (6/10M)
    Thaddeus Young (6/8M)
    Aminu (8/12M)
    O'Quinn (4/6M)
    Cauley-Stein (8/12M)
    Rozier (8/12M)
    Elfrid Payton (8/12M)
    Beverley (4/6M)
    Ariza (8/10M)
    Portis (8/10M)
    Satoransky (4/6M)
    JaMaychal Green (8/12M)
    Robin Lopez (4/6M)
    Taj Gibson (6/8M)
    Bullock (6/8M)
    Ed Davis (6/8M)
    Rivers (6/8M)
    Pope (6/8M)
    Dedmon (6/8M)
    McConnell (4/6M)
    Ellington (4/6M)
    Seth Curry (6/8M)

My favourite here would be by far Jamaychal, but my idea is that West is going to resign him so, realistically, i think we might have a chance with guys like DeAndre (home discount), Redick, Marcus Morris, O'Quinn, Beverley, RoLo, Taj, Bullock, Davis, Rivers, Dedmon, McConnell and Curry, even though the last two guys i think they'll stay where they are.

Would love to get back Luc, but tbh, only if he's healty and at the vet minimum.

Seth Curry is non-bird, he won't stay with Blazers. Lakers and Jazz targets Seth Curry.
    Rivers wants a little overpaid.
    Market set at 9.2 million.
    Ross
    Ariza
    Marcus Morris
    Beverley

Yeah, i forgot Curry has no bird rights, and the Blazers have Simmons which plays in same spots and is on a rookie scale contract so, i guess Curry is probably gone, even though i'm not sure he's going to get more money than what Portland could still offer him on paper.

I can see Rivers get a full no tax MLE, but i wouldn't bet on it.

As for Trevor, i still think will get a solid offer from a pretender with the need of a 3&D guy with experience.

    WCS

He has been stuck in Sacramento and is RFA now and they are loaded with bigs so they aren’t going to match. He can do the Capela rim running plus is a great defense man. Find a taker for Capela and we will forget he was ever a Rocket with the signing of WCS. Sign him long and low, please.
