So me and a friend normally try to do a few really fun things per year. We've skydived, ran spartan races, and tried heroin.

We're currently having a competition though, to find the most agonizingly boring event to possible to attend. I'm thinking of buying tickets to an orchestra and leaving our cell phones at home. If it helps, we are in NYC.

    Thanks!

The 2017 National Funeral Directors Convention and Expo is in Boston this year. And get this, it spans Halloween, from Oct 29th - Nov 1st.

They probably do Halloween every year. Lulz

I want to know more about your heroin experience... kinda feel like it deserves it's own thread.

If neither of you like chess, maybe you could buy tickets to spectate an amateur chess tournament.

Nosebleeds to the Nets games against a bad team are near insufferable. But it's almost comical how much nobody gives a crap about the Nets, even at home.

But honestly, a good orchestra really probably is not boring.

pretty much any convention that you have no interest in. an NBA convention would be pretty entertaining where as a quilting convention could possibly be the most boring thing you can do.

I attended a quilt making competition with my grandmother once. Three hours in, I decided to take my life, but the organizers wouldn't spare me some extra yarn so I stayed a couple of hours longer and then went home.

    This made me sad.

    Anyway: https://boringconference.com/

You could also consider getting tickets to just about any middle school spring play or concert, but you might come off as creepy.

Me too, and it's even more sad that it's an opinion that probably isn't that uncommon....

Anyway, back to the question. Get tickets to the Nutcracker Market.
