Agreed. Only way. Nothing else is good enough. Spurs can do it with a bit less. Kawhi, CP3 and Millsap and Popovich system can get it done IMO. Maybe not even need Millsap, Aldridge just needs to play his best.
according to you guys, a 2nd star and a top 10 defense in the mda-harden juggernaught offense im sorry but thats more of a pipe dream than banging scarlett johan
The consensus here is: 1. Sign Capela long term to anchor the defense, rebound, and fly up and down the court dunking like a madman. 2. Bring back Terrence Jones to play the 4 for us. 3. Trade away a future first round pick to get rid of Ryan Anderson. 4. Whatever we do, definitely don't trade for or waste a draft pick on a point guard. 5. Sign Jonathan Simmons to take up what's left of the rest of the cap space we got for trading a first round pick to get rid of Anderson after signing Terrence Jones. 6. Draft young project players that will take three or four years to develop. 7. Feed Harden the ball even more so he averages over 6 turnovers a game next year. Because when his turnovers go up it doesn't make a difference. It means we are getting even greater offensive production from him. 8. Hire some famous rappers to curse the Warriors. 9. Make James shoot at least ten pull-up three point shots a game. 10. Trade our 2020 first rounder for another guy that can draw fouls on his three-point shot. 11. Don't sign any Euros. They all suck. 12. Except Llull. Keep trying to sign the one euro that don't want us every summer. 13. Trade for a big dumb guy making max salary that is a lifetime 40% free throw clanker to fix our rebounding problem. 14. Fire Morey and replace him with somebody that knows what they're doing. 15. Re-sign Bobby Brown and also give a contract to Hardens bodyguard that buys the Hennessey and gets all the hoes signed to non-disclosure contracts. 16. Hope that Curry or Durant blow out a knee. I mean. Come on now. If we can get all this done we've really got a chance to win one.
first of all, unless harden magically elevates his game in the po's from now on, you need two stars. its nearly impossible to get one. how are we gonna get two w/o a top 3 overall pick to send? ok so you got your three stars. now you need competent role players around them. do you have any? lets say you do eventaully now you need at least a top 10 defense. how you gonna do that with mda as the coach? so all those 3 things, are realistic to you guys? seriously? tfoh we'll be lucky to get one of those things
"We are used to long odds," Morey added. "If Golden State makes the odds longer, we might up our risk profile and get even more aggressive. We have something up our sleeve." SPLASH. Lol.
Do everything we can (except for letting Harden go) to sign Durant this offseason. I understand extremely unlikely, but best way IMO to knock off GSW. Our next best bet is to pray for dissension in the team. We've already heard of rumblings that Klay most likely won't stick around after his contract is up. Maybe Curry won't like the fact he's actually the #2 guy on that team? And with a guy like Draymond's volatile attitude, anything could be possible from his end?
James harden learns to be effective without the ball in his hands 99 percent of the time. Anthony davis or Demarcus Cousins signs in Houston. Pg and hayward signs in Houston. C anthony Davis or Cousins/nene Pf pg Sf hayward/ariza Sg harden/gordon Pg beverly we need him to swipe Curry's legs
Doesn't matter bc as long as we have FAT LAZY HARDEN we will never win anything or play like the Warriors
This is literally the only thing that is within the realm of possibility that we can do to have a shot at beating the Warriors. So basically we're screwed.
We need to build a monster defense to go with the offense that we have. Paul George would give us a gigantic boost.
Imo, if the Spurs can sign Paul they'll definitely have a shot to beat them. As for us, we need two top players, the difficult part imo is to sign the first one via free agency, after that it can be a bit more easy cause if you really want it, you can go all in with a trade a grab another one, not saying a Celtics - Nets kind of trade, but something similar...again, if you're wiiling to take a risk. And to me it would be ok frankly, i mean, you either want to compete for real, or just rebuild, staying in the middle of the pack is meh, i understand that "if everybody would think this way bla bla", but still, i'd do what's best for my franchise.
It would take a player who has absolutely nothing to lose, puts his team ahead of himself and personally takes it upon himself to destroy the opposition. It would take a player who can physically choke slam Curry, break Draymond's nostrils and send Durant's knees to the surgery room. I vote for: Spoiler
