What former Rocket would you like to see back on the team?

This is definately a "Steve Francis" thread is disguise. With that said, you have to be an idiot to pass up on talent like the Franchise when it will only cost you the LLE. Low risk, high reward. Isn't that what the Rockets management has been preaching?

I have a simple question as well, why?

 

it was tough between Horry and Sam.
I picked sam cause our PGs need some mentoring.

Sam/Mike James/Brooks would be good

Sam/Mike can also play 2 when needed.

Plus Sam has the leadership quality that this team needs. Sorry Tmac, Sam is a much better leader at this point of Tmac's career.

Anyone who can turn the Clippers around = leader

After watching the recent video of him on the court...I'll bring back the Dream for about 10-15 min a game.

 

Defintely Boki. hes got potential to be a great role player. Robert Horry is gonna retire next season and as much as i love Sam he's too old now. Definte no to cuttino and francis though.

 

think about Sam playing PG with Tmac and Yao.
flashback to Sam playing with Drexler and Dream.
when you flashedback? what did you see? Rockets sweeping Orlando.

Love Horry and Cassell but honestly, their careers are on the extreme downside, and their ability to contribute would be limited and short lived.

Mobley, Francis and Nachbar could add firepower. Unrealistic to think Mobley or Nachbar would be made available to us in the near future.

Francis is the choice I would make as he is available. But in 2 years I would have to give him the thumbs down if he still isn't a Rocket as he is creeping up in age and if he fails to ressurect his career quickly, confidence could be an issue.

Get Francis now.

 

Nachbar for sure, i was impressed with what i saw from him the couple times i watched him last season. I remember one game on espn when he had a sick dunk over someone and was draining threes like crazy.... plus he is pretty young compared to the other choices.

I would love to have cassell but the fact that he could get injured one day and never play again make me not want to have him. Horry is just getting old and useless unless of course you need someone to take out the other teams MVP to win a series by doin it, then yeah id vote horry

I'm still hoping we can get Horry. Scola/Hayes at 4, Yao/Deke at 5 with Horry being able to play both. Battier can play some 4 against smaller teams. We could even give Butler back to the Spurs. Not gonna happen though, spurs will get Horry back. It will be nice when the rox retire horry after we beat the spurs next year in da playoffs. That way he'll end his career against the team it all started with.
