Dunc'd On is much better if you actually want to know what's going on out there on the court.

David Thorpe was the last guy at ESPN that gave real on court analysis but ESPN jettison'd him to get more time to beat reporters.

Once you realize how much of ESPN analysis is buzzword oriented it almost becomes sickening.

Bashing a guy for using a "pretty large" vocabulary? Smdh.

CF is so god damned sensitive. It's worse than ever. Low, Arnovitz, etc are good. They're not Rockets fans but they're still good.

Also, fwiw, Harden's defensive reputation was ruined by that compilation video on YouTube (made by a CFer, btw) that went viral; not from an Arnovitz tweet with 36 likes.

If Kyrie were to win...James Harden's only chance at MVP in future seasons would be averaging a 30+ point triple double on the best team in the NBA. That is his standard.

It would be a lot easier and a lot more reasonable if these members of the media just came out and said that they didn't like James Harden enough to vote for him. We know that's the reason, just say it and be done with it.

I didn't bash him for having a large vocabulary. I was explaining how he implemented that large vocabulary to use a slick approach to the way he hates on Harden.

Lol my friend said I wish we played Boston tomorrow to shut thed media up..lol I said

This is what the media will say.....

The Celtics were on a 16game winning streak before finally losing to the rockets. Nothing to be ashamed of they fought hard before eventually losing 109-100. The Celtics are coming off of very tough games against the hawks and the Mavs where there players played high volume minutes. The rockets were on a 3day layoff and haven't played since Sunday. I'd love to see these 2 teams go at it when both teams are at 100% Celtics play again tomorrow night in Boston where they have the Scorching hot Sacramento Kings (4-13) coming to town where they have won there last 2 games by 8 points or more

I hope anyone who thinks Kyrie is MVP over Harden becomes ill.

Harden will have to lead the league in scoring and assists while the Rockets win 60 games...that’s the only narrative he can have that will give him a chance to win the award

All about the Narrative. Once the Narrative is set, the stats will be used (or not used) to advance the narrative.

Last year is was Westbrook vs KD. Good and Evil.
This year it is Irving vs LeBron.

Westbrook out to prove he can "do it on his own."
Irving out to prove he can "do it on his own."

Harden apparently does not have a foil so there is no interesting "narrative" to drum up. Plus, Harden doesn't have a lot of "game winners" (team has had big leads) and doesn't have a lot of "flying dunks" (not his game).

"Killing them softly" with efficiency is not a "hot seller" on the #HotTake market.

LOL that Kyrie has to help his team "come from behind" against a THREE and FOURTEEN Mavs team and all of a sudden Stein and SAS have him as MVP.

That's only because Westbrook is not averaging a triple double. Remember this BS regarding an argument for MVP:

“Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James… none of them ever averaged a triple-double.” -- Chris Broussard

Just let Westbrook start getting his stats again and Mr. Broussard will be selling us on him being the MVP while Kyrie will fall of the map.

Seriously though, it sucks that Harden plays so well, but the media will not forgive him on the really crappy outings he has had in the past. I'm telling you guys, Harden has **** the bed in critical moments of his career and for that reason, these moments will continue to follow him around until he wins a championship or at least has a truly dominant, clutch series. The media will not forgive him otherwise and you will have bozo's like Beadle and Pierce keep bringing up the times Harden came up short.

I thought Harden was doing better on defense but from Matt Moore's article...

His defense has looked better in the games CP has played in.

That has only been 3/17 tho

Difference - "no narrative" for IT other than "root for the little guy."

Narrative: "Kyrie out to prove to Lebron that he can do it on his own" (like Westbrook out of prove to KD that he can do it on his own).
