I checked nbadraft.net and it hasn't been updated this season. A quick search here shows the Rockets come up 10 times, but a lot of those picks have already been traded away.

    • Is the second rounder from Phoenix for the next draft? Is it protected?
    • Do the Rockets still have the Knicks second round picks? I know we traded the Bobcats pick to the Thunder in the Harden deal.
    • What else do the Rockets have?

According to the interview with Morey today, the 2nd rounder they are getting from the Suns is the only guaranteed pick for this coming draft at this point.

    From RealGM-

    Draft Picks Owed to Houston-

2013 second round draft pick from Phoenix-
Phoenix' own 2013 2nd round pick to Houston. [Houston-Phoenix, 2/21/2013]

2014 second round draft pick from New York-
    New York's own 2014 2nd round pick to Houston. [Houston-New York, 7/11/2012]

2015 second round draft pick from L.A. Clippers-
The L.A. Clippers' own 2015 2nd round pick to Houston via Toronto (if pick is 51 - 55). If the L.A. Clippers' own 2015 2nd round pick is not among the 51st through 55th picks, then the L.A. Clippers' obligations to Houston shall be extinguished. [L.A. Clippers - Toronto, 1/7/2009 and then Houston - Toronto, 7/28/2010]

2015 second round draft pick from New York-
    New York's own 2015 2nd round pick to Houston. [Houston-New York, 7/11/2012]

    Draft Picks Houston Owes-

2013 second round draft pick to Atlanta-
Houston's own 2013 2nd round pick to Atlanta (Top-40 protected in the 2013 Draft, top-40 protected in 2014, top-40 protected in 2015 and unprotected in the 2016 Draft.) [Atlanta - Houston, 7/14/2009]

2014 second round draft pick to Milwaukee-
Houston own 2nd round pick to Milwaukee in the "First Allowable Draft". The First Allowable draft shall be the draft that occurs one year following the year in which Houston satisfies its existing obligation to convey a future second round draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks (Top-40 protected in the 2013 Draft, top-40 protected in 2014, top-40 protected in 2015 and unprotected in the 2016 Draft) If Houston does not convey a second round pick to Milwaukee by the 2016 Draft and Houston is obligated to send their 2017 second round pick to Atlanta via Brooklyn, then Milwaukee shall receive Houston's own 2018 second round pick. [Houston-Milwaukee, 6/27/2012]

The cupboard really was bare for 2013 :(

Post left out that our 2013 1st rounder goes to Atlanta if we make the playoffs.

And the pick from the Lakers via Dallas will not be conveyed to the Rockets because the Mavericks will be in the lottery.

I think this was part of the Hill deal.

Better to have no picks this year which is considered to be an off-year aside from Shabazz Muhammad. Even Nerlens is looking to be a 2014 player now. Let's get all of our draft obligations out of the way from the Harden deal and regroup for 2014 with an eye towards reaccumulating picks to go all-in for one final superstar.

That pick went to OKC in the Harden deal.

I'll still hit up Beck's Prime Sportatorium with my sons (and a brief appearance by the wife before she turns it into another chance to shop for shoes or Victoria's Secret) an NBA draft night tradition...in case we pull a trade that night.

    Go Rockets

Knowing the Rockets. They'll draft some guy in the 2nd round that they flip for Anthony Davis 3 years from now.

I don't expect Rockets to be too involved in 2013 draft. I expect they will try to preserve cap space so no first round picks.

I mean we did manage to trade, accumulate and buy 3 First round picks in 2012 draft + a second rounder...i'm not worried. This is morey's specialty :scalping teams of first round draft picks

And BUTT-Ramming them for 2nd rounders, I forgot. Morey is a genius at finding gems in the 2nd..and the phoenix second will be high

honestly...this is the best case scenario..considering that i really think the entire college landscape is quite weak.. there is no clear/concise stand outs this season...imho

Why do we need more draft picks? We have the youngest team
in the league, a solid starting core of players, a sizable amount
of cap room, a leggit star in Harden etc. I think proven NBA players
are going to line up at Toyota Center wanting a chance to talk
Daryl Morey. Things are looking good! Scary good!....

You want as many draft picks as you can get when your
old and going nowhere! That's not us!!!

    (P.S) I wouldn't complain if we had a couple of 1st rounders though..
