Well, technically he's a V.P. or something---but we all know the deal. What do you all think of his performance in the time he's been on the job? ------------------
He removed the liabilities such as Howard and Richmond. He added a number one pick to compliment Hamilton. He hired a good coach for young players. I'd grade him an A+. He made one major mistake when he ripped into Juwan Howards pay rate and play, but it didn't hurt the team one ioda. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
A+ He got rid of monstrous contracts in Richmond, Howard, and Strckland...all great moves. He got a good young player in Kwame Brown in the draft. Plus, he has drawn quite a bit of mystique and interest in the Wizards and their rebuilding process. I think he has done very well. ------------------ My doctor says I am bipolar. I am going to get a second opinion. I have never had intimate desires for polar bears.
I think Jordan is doing a fantastic job myself. He cleared out dead weight veterans like Mitch Richmond, and Rod Strickland, veterans who didn't want to be there and were sucking up money, they moved Juwan Howard's huge contract, they acquired good young players like Kwame Brown and Cory Alexander, added some decent big men, and are just a star go-to guy away from being a .500 team. Good job rebuilding a seemingly unrebuildable franchise. ------------------ What if I say to you that the universe is a three-legged horse, eh? What then? - Russell Hoban
Obviously, getting rid of Juwon Howard was a good move and letting Strickland and Richmond go was a necessary move. But A+ is a gross overstatement. Obviously, the Wizards were in a state that could not be turned around overnight. But, he has only done the things that the whole league knew needed to get done for them to be respectable. He hasn't really scored any major coups (even the Howard trade must be credited more to Cuban than Jordan) that would justify A+. I'd give him a B, for acceptable (in the common inflated grading standard). ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
I think he´s done pretty well. He also brought Cortney Alexander to the team, and though he lost Calvin Booth in that trade it was still an allright trade since the main objective was getting rid of Howard. Jordans greatest achievment as GM (or whatever he is) though is as HOOP-T so nicely expressed it "he has drawn quite a bit of mystique and interest in the Wizards and their rebuilding process." I would give him a B, maybe a B+. ------------------ There are many colors in the homo rainbow. Don´t be afraid to let your colors shine.
