Like: Ryan Anderson swishing threes from Deeeeeeepppppppp like its nothing Dislike: The idea that his threes might stop dropping
I like how Coach is not afraid to step on tender feelings and put in the most effective player most of the time
I had low expectations, but they were not low enough. I thought he'd be serviceable, but not anything special. He's worse than Harden was last year.
Likes: MDA has turned out better than expected. Harden, Gordon, Anderson, Dekker, Bev, Capela, Ariza. Our offense for the most part. Better-than-expected-D Maybe adding DMO back? Lots of road games, 13-7 Wins against SA, GS, and almost Cavs (-Bev) Dislikes Harden occasionally lost or hero-ball for no real reason. when it happens it starts early and goes for too long. Reliance on 3 is too heavy. When we get down, we JUST take 3s. Anderson turn-around J is wtf. Nene. Ennis. Brewer. D needs to better, but we have seen it much worse. Turnovers. We go on offensive droughts and once it starts we make really bad decisions with the ball, over and over. My likes out weight the Dislikes heavily, I'm just more specific on the Dislikes heh. I think we're set to win 50, but a long ways from challenging. We need an inside threat, but I do like our hustle and offense. so SO soOoooOOOoo much better than last year to watch. When we are down, I can see us coming back almost every time. Utah was surprising, but they were hitting everything all game and we found no rhythm.
I'd like to add to my list: Disappointed in: Anderson's being so streaky Surprised by: How clutch we've been so far.
Dislike: Harden's half court passes when his teammate is heavily defended. I like you a lot James, but quit doing that!
Likes: - How our offense that was completely predicated by 3pt success for several years now, finally has more than 1 or 2 capable 3pt shooters. - Gordon and Anderson give us so much from the 3pt line, but they also are knock down, consistent FT shooters. Which this team has desperately needed for quite a while. - The first ten games or so from Harden were absolutely phenomenal. He's still killing it but his efficiency has taken a slight dive. - The emergence of Dekker and Harrel as what looks like a legitimate NBA rotational players. - D'Antoni. I'm eating major crow on his signing. He is such an upgrade on every coach we've had since Adelman, at least, so far. Seems to be very intelligent and knows exactly what he's doing. And bless him for giving us an actual offense to run. Dislikes: - Flashes of 2015 iso-ball coming back in key fourth quarter moments. - Harden's constant lackadaisical approach to bringing the ball up the floor. Wouldn't it serve us better to get into our offense at around the 18-20 second mark of the shot clock instead of the 13-15? - Our defense, which we obviously can play when the chips are down, showing up mostly when we absolutely have to play it. - Too many 3 pointers. Too often we simply settle for a constant barrage of 3 point shots when they are simply not falling. I'd like to see Harden take it the rack more often.... or hit them with some mid range jumpers from the elbow/ft area if the 3s aren't falling. Hopefully D'Mo can help us in this area as well. - KJ getting absolutely no burn even while playing seemingly pretty damn well in his limited time. - Corey Brewer 90% of the time he's on the court.
Dislikes: Everything about Corey Brewer. Harden doing too much iso-ball and not trusting his teammates (like Gordon) when games are close. Harden passing the ball to a wing 3 pointer after intentionally running down the clock down to 2 seconds.
Harden is frustrating to watch. I mean he's good, but he sometimes it's just ugh.. you guys know what I mean
