I figured out what Trump could do to unite this country.

He could give a golden shower tomorrow during his inauguration.

    Not show up today.

In all seriousness, he could start by admitting that Betsy DeVos was a mistake and walk away from her nomination. The damage she's likely to do simply because she knows nothing of the department she's about to run and because she seems to be completely uneducated herself is frightening.

He could understand that you can't come in and tear the whole thing down and expect it to work again. I was at a dinner the other night honoring Gerald Hines (if you don't know who he is, he's largely responsible for Houston's skyline and the Galleria). He and his team were asked a question about if they've ever worked with Trump. They laughed. Apparently, they were called into a meeting in Chicago about developing a building. When they got to the meeting, Trump's CFO at the time said "We don't need your help. We know what we're doing." They said this to one of the preeminent builders in the world. They (the Trumps) called Hines to come to Chicago only to tell him he wasn't needed because they knew better. Know what you don't know and don't be such a dick that you can't ask for help.

He could stay the **** off twitter. Be an adult and quit reacting to every real and perceived slight.

Honestly, I'm hopeful he'll give a decent speech. Like his election night speech had a brief flash of trying to represent everyone, and he'll give some verbiage to that today, I hope. But then, even after the big parties tonight, he'll be back on a twitter rage against anyone who criticizes the day, the parade, his speech, his tie, or anything else. Sad!

He'll read from the telepormpter well. Let's be clear. If this speech has any cordiality and is elequoent then it's a near certainty that he literally had zero input on the content and diction of the speech.

Somehow I suspect we won't be seeing Hannity et all complaining incessantly about teleprompters anymore.

There is somewhere stated that Trump does not like tweeting but found it necessary to defend himself.

Seems like he United the country in being completely underwhelmed by his inauguration.

Obama 08 on the left, Trump today on the right.

Well as we quickly found out with Obama, voter enthusiasm and turnout for the inaugural is no indication of quality of president. So yeah, who cares who showed up or didn't show up so long as he does a better job than his predecessor?

LOL, naw. Campaign Trump = real Trump.

Look on the bright side, ratings for most reality shows nosedive after the novelty wears off. Just the issue is that when they get cancelled it has limited impact rather than afflicting millions along the way

People are defined by what they have done in the past, so Trump will bankrupt the country, and create a recession, and then get tossed out on his ass.

Well, Obama DID do a better job than his predecessor, so by that standard you should be more appreciative of his 8 years.

I disagree, they were both bad, Obama was worse.

Obama was amazing, you must have been too young to remember the recession in 08...but don't worry some of the people that caused that same recession under W. Bush are now in Trump's cabinet.

LOL, yeah I'm sure you think that. Anyway, all we got from Obama who was so "amazing" was the debt literally doubled and the country more divided than it's been in many decades.....but of course his fanboys will still stay on their knees fellating him well after he's gone.

PSSST, Debt is not a big deal, when there is nothing backing it up. Double PSSST....when you owe countries money they are less likely to attack you.

Triple PSST...you are welcome for the knowledge kid.
