Chiefs - Loss Browns - Win Seahawks - Loss Colts - Win Rams - Loss Cardinals - Win Ravens - Loss Titans - Win 49ers - Win Jaguars - Win Steelers - Loss Colts - Win Record: 9-7 The two early losses in the season really puts a 10-win season out of reach in my opinion. The predicted losses: Chiefs, Rams, Seahawks, Ravens, Steelers -- all have great defenses and they will figure out ways to disrupt Watson once there is more game tape on him. If you think otherwise, then you are seriously mistaken. The NFL is a league of adjustments. Teams will figure out this offense and ways to stop it. We won't be able to telegraph throws to Hopkins -- the most targeted receiver in the league -- against top echelon defenses.
I actually like us against the Chiefs. Similar team to the Titans. Defense is bottom half in the league and they lost Berry. May see another fun one this upcoming week. If we win that game, the media will explode. Deshaun is getting RG3 treatment in the media right now.
I had us going 7-9 at the beginning of the year. Now I think we can go 9-7 with ease, and I think that we have a shot at 10 wins.
9-7 Defense was amazing creating turnovers but the secondary hasn’t looked good and the front 7 hasn’t created the pressure we know they are capable of. If Watson is the real deal you can cut Cushing and do something with Brown to help the OL and the secondary. Next year could be really special. A cheap star QB is amazing for the cap.
Where is this coming from?.... are there advanced stats backing this up, or....? Defense was terrific yesterday, and I thought they were pretty ******* good last week, too - more unlucky than bad. Four TOs in four games; two defensive TDs........... What am I missing?
Tough, physical schedule. We may flat out lose the division via attrition, very little depth on offense as it is. The division will probably come down to that 12/2 away game in Jacksonville. And I think we don't match up against them very well. Spoiler They can pressure with just 4 up front, spy with one of their 2 of the fastest OLBs to keep Watson's scrambling in check. And the match up I hate the most, Jalen Ramsey on Hopkins. Ramsey is a bona fide shutdown corner, a freak with a rare combination of physicality and speed, who can negate DHop . Those short and intermediary passes we feasted on the Titans' secondary will be few and far between. Offensively, I expect the Jaguars to run the ball more and grind out ugly wins as the season progresses, effectively minimizing Bortles' potential negative impact.
