We need a legit PF type guy who can play the 4 if we run a small ball lineup with PJ playing center. JaMychal Green, Rudy Gay, Ryan Anderson (circa 2016)...that kind of player. This year when Tucker played the 5 we didn't really have a legit 4 that could shoot to space the floor that had enough size to be a solid rebounder. GSW has a luxury of playing their death lineup because Durant is 6'11'' and can help contest shots and rebound because of his height. When our tallest guy on the floor is 6'6'' and Harden is playing PF, that's not exactly an ideal situation defensively or on the glass.

I would like to keep Faried if possible as a backup 5, maybe he develops his shot more to be a plausible 3 point shooter to play some 4 as well, but some team might throw a bunch of money at him. I think Austin Rivers is overrated since he can't shoot consistently or finish around the rim, more flash than substance. But I like what he does defensively and can at least attack the room and put pressure on the defense, hopefully we can bring him back on a cheap contract for some guard depth. That way we don't have to rely on scrubs like MCW and Brandon Knight to play backup PG if Harden or CP3 are injured.
