It's your best choice if your Westbrook. He is getting almost a quarter of a billion, he's set for life.

 

Dunno if PG stays but he seems super excited to start the season... as does Melo.

Would not be surprised if OKC won their first 15 games.

That place has been Knicks 2.0 since Buss died. We should all be a little worried now that Les no longer owns the team. Les wanted a winner always.

 

I would be surprised. Let's not overrate them until we see the on court chemistry, or lack there of.

 

Houston and OKC head into the new season with extremely similar if not identical predicaments facing its future.

Both have one superstar signed to long extensions, Westbrook and Harden.

Both have another star/superstar on the team signed only for the upcoming year, PG13 and CP3.

Both teams face the challenges of incorporating new star players into their system, PG13 and Melo for OKC and CP3 for the Rockets.

Both teams have largely revamp their roster, OKC trading away 4 rotation players and the Rockets trading away 4.

Both teams faces the choice of either large luxury tax payments in 2018-19 in order to keep their teams together OR taking a huge step back talent wise due to inability or unwillingness to hold on to their FA's.

Both teams need to drastically improve on their performance over their disappointing 2016-17 finish in order to keep CP3 or George. A flame out in the second round isn't going to cut it, let alone a first round exit.

IMO the Rockets will have a much easier time incorporating CP3 than OKC with Melo and George, though they'll have the higher ceiling.

I've no clue where these two teams will finish in the standings or in the playoffs, but I know its going to be fun to watch.
