durant would've prolly stayed if they let go of westbrook over harden. then morey would have traded for westbrook
Steven Adams averages 4.9 offensive rebounds and 4.6 defensive rebounds this season, how a player can grab more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds blows my mind. Meanwhile Westbrook averages 1.5 offensive rebounds and 9.6 defensive rebounds.
The sad part of this is that in 20 years he would be called one of the greatest players ever. Because the only thing everyone would remember is numbers. And triple-double in 3 consecutive years, on paper, looks really impressive.
Ehh the reading and understanding of numbers is getting far more sophisticated. Hell it is more sophisticated than it was a decade ago. I think he will be remembered for who/what he is.... a very complicated player that ultimately is a Hall of Famer but not an all time great.
Since Westbrook came up, and people talking about Westbrook (including Westbrook), there’s something I have to say. Patrick Beverley, pound for pound, is the best rebounding guard in the Association, in my opinion. He showed that last night when it mattered the most. That, and a lot more.
OKC should try and get New York to trade their pick for WB. They might be dumb enough to do it. Classic knick move to make.
[Russell Westbrook] There used to be conversations about if i was a ball hog, but now i lead the league in assists for the past 3 years or whatever it is, that's getting squashed out. So now the conversation is about shooting. Next year I'm going to become a better shooter.
