I have talked ALOT of **** on Westbrook but go watch his last seasons highlights and tell me you aren’t excited to have that much explosion & athleticism at PG next to Harden

Talk about his his shooting but can’t deny he’s got the juice when running down that court

I think he’s the costar Harden has been waiting with him being an MVP and close friend. I think they will ball out and have fun doing it

So you are just discounting that Harden is on the team?

Westbrook will not be the primary ball handler in crunch time he already was ceding some of that to PG last year.

There is no way he is worse at the rim which shows your bias.

Paul rarely shot at the rim because genuinely separate and was short.

Westbrook has been double digit in assisting with far less shooters, you are the one who has not actually watched the players.

he is playing with better players and in a better system, not saying it will work but you are not accounting for Paul's decline last year.

    Setting more screens?

Paul got a screen just about every time he got the ball.

Yes, and most importantly we upgraded our FLEXIBILITY, i.e. Russ can be traded any time unlike CP3.

What cp3 were some of you guys watching this year?

    He didn’t suck

    But he wasn’t good.

It’s cool to get 8 points and 8 assist and set a tone but not when your making 40m

Not to mention he’s also inefficient and only getting older plus he misses a lot of games every year.

    Russ just avg 21/11/10

I don’t care what your efficiency is that’s just raw production and we need that.

Not to mention okc was the 2nd best team in the west for a lot of the season with Russ playing 2nd fiddle to an mvp candidate.

They struggled when PG13 got hurt and never regained form.

Now he’s playing second fiddle to an actual mvp who’s even better than PG13 and he’s surrounded by more shooting which will give him more space plus he still has an elite run runner lob threat in Capela just like he had in Adams.

If you stop looking at shooting % and just think basketball and fit this will work fine on offense.

It’s going to all come down to how good we can be as a team on defense.

If we’re top10 or better we will have the best record in the nba.

I’m sure we’re going to have the number 1 offense.

Russ maybe the only guy outside of Harden and Lebron who is better at getting to the rim. Russ changes everything on this team. Changes the pace and he now gives us a guy who has a very good post game for guard as opposed to the has been midget

I love the optimism but I don’t see it. I think we’re going to be worse with Westbrook, I just don’t think he’s a winning player and I struggle to see his fit with Harden.

Lelz, then take a look how explosive he was when he was 22-23.....even Harden was explosive when he was 6th man.

Both are ball hogger and ball hungery. Most concern is that they both don't provide the leadership we need and might cause the chemistry issues if we start losing game and spin out of control

Love him or hate him, WB would have been a typical fit on teams like the Lakers or Knicks.

His flamboyant style of Bball........The Rockets always have been very modest in that way.

Yeah same stuff people said about cp3

Morey mda harden cp3 made it work until cp3 fell off the cliff

    Moreyball is 3s and layups

And harden and russ lead the league in drives

Those result in points, fouls, assists to 3 pt shooters, lobs, etc

Who you think QUIT on the Rockets in a pivotal GAME 6 when we were favored at HOME against Spurs without Kawhi and Parker?

Let's face it. If we were to make a deep run to the NBA finals then Russ has to be our best player come playoff time. Harden just doesn't have it. Even the series we got closest to GSW, CP3 was our best player that series
