To the Clippers on a one year deal per the vet minimum.... Can somebody explain this one to me? How does he continue to get NBA contracts? What does he do that Jordan Hamilton can't? I'm lost. I think he's terrible.
Didn't he start a bunch of games last year for the Lakers? He's an athletic wingman and isn't fully stupid which is apparently enough to get a spot on bottom-feeders.
There was that one play last season where he stripped Harden in the last minute and ran down the other end for a fastbreak and-1 dunk to win the the Lakers the game.
A lot of Fantasy Basketball experts were gushing over him last season because he is one of the very few players in the league who can average 1 steal, 1 block and 1 3-pointer a game. And the only player in the league who can average that who could be found in a fantasy league's free agency. Whether those incredible stats (usually reserved for the likes of a prime Batum or a Milsap) translate to real-world value for a team... I don't know. In theory, a stat like that should make him a good 3 & D guy, but we all know that high steals doesn't mean good defense as it can also mean the player gambles a lot.
He can get a contract because the Clippers are DESPERATE and are about to hire McGee. Soon they will have scrubs and dleaguers too.
