Not every game, of course. But a game like tonight, where we gave up way too many offensive boards, Capela is the difference. And he doesn't miss layups like Faried, who is otherwise doing a very capable job. So don't sweat the losses. CC is our 2nd best player, and we will be an elite team again when he returns.
Not a good thing when one player can be such a difference. Our bench is entirely garbage. It's not hard to predict an injury on CP or Capela in the playoffs, and we will be nothing after that.
He has well and truly passed Paul as the second most important player.Probaly the second best as well.
Same applies for Danuel House. He might be our 4th best player after Harden/CP3/Capela. I'd say the Magic/Nets/Thunder are 3 losses we win easily with those guys back in the starting lineup.
Ummmm. Capela is our starting center. I'm pretty sure if the starting center is out on most NBA team, they will struggle 2. Not every team has the luxury of having a competent back up center. I would say majority of the NBA teams will also struggle if they are missing their starting center.
Really? Seriously? Honestly? Danuel House is our 4th best player? Man, I should know better than to check ClutchFans after a stupid loss.
I like Capela but he absolutely blows his share of lay-ups. I probably yell for him to dunk the damn ball at least a couple of times per game because he so often goes softly with the ball and misses a gimme.
No, most elite teams have a pretty good PF/C who can backup the 5-spot. And its not like Stephen Adams was the reason OKC won tonight.
That’s why this team is so frustrating. The talent is there, but they have a bad tendency to relax after building huge leads, or they decide to play defense only when they want to. Last year’s group would never have let OKC get back within striking distance tonight.
Correct This team claims they’re chasing the Warriors but they’re really not. Last year’s team wanted every game. This team doesn’t give a damn in half of them. Can’t be bothered to care with a 24 point lead. Embarrassing.
A true contender must find a way to win without any of their players. All teams suffer injury absences in a long season. Enough, stop looking for excuses for this kind of defeat.
True, but Harden hurt his shoulder. That was when we went cold. He is usually indestructible, but he was hurting tonight.
Last year's team were the ones who would fall behind by 20+ points and win anyway. Didn't matter what was happening, you knew they were going to switch it on and just nuke the other team out of the building, and it almost always started with their defense. This season's team doesn't do that.
